  1. I had my first surgery for the lap band on May 17 2012 I lost for sure. I was down to about 210 or so. I then had a slip and opted to have the second surgery to go to the sleeve. Which I had on Dec 16 and now I'm down to 196. I have longed to see the scale below 200 and final I have made it. Looking forward to be about 175 or lower.

  3. I was a band to sleeve on 12/13/13 and I feel pretty good. I have been out shopping and driving since about Tuesday. I started mushy food on Thursday and that was great. I have been getting in most of my water and protein. Hw 258 Sw 204 Cw 196 I can't believe how much this surgery has changed my weight loss. I am very excited to move forward.
  4. Glad your doing better. You will get there on the protein soon it takes time. I was sleeved on the 13 th and I still have trouble getting in enought protein too. It is getting better everyday. The shakes have been making me sick too. I found I had to try different types. I found yogurt was the best thing to feel better.
  5. I hope to be able to shop and wear what ever I want and feel good doing it.
  6. Good luck to everyone who is going the loaders bench.
  7. That's not cool. So.etime people are jealous and say mean things or they are scared and can't have control of the situation. It is very unfortunate they are being like that.
  8. I have not yet got a tray yet but I think my first meal will be optifast this morning.
  9. I was instructed to shower the night before and the morning off with antibacterial soap. Oh and to wash my hair well both time which I thought was weird.
  10. I think it is because I am sore. So taking deep breaths hurts. Dr says I am doing great though.
  11. So surgery was yesterday Friday the 13. Surgery went really well he took my lapband out and did the sleeve. I am not using as much pain meds today compared to yesterday. I have been up and walking laps around the floor and even went downstairs to see my children last night. Breathing is a little hard at times but they have me on oxygen. I have not drank anything since Thursday night should get ice chips and water this morning excited it went will and can't wait to get home.

  14. Happy Birthday SoPeachy! I have surgery tomorrow at 7:30 am mountain time. Can't wait feel like I am forgetting everything lol must be the nerves. Good luck too all of us tomorrow and prayers for quick and good recoveries for all.
  15. I hope not that sucks he just left you all alone like that and then not to help with the kids is awful. I hope things get better and soon for you.
  16. That's a lot to have done in one surgery. I hope you are feeling better.
  17. So today I got my time for surgery on Friday which is 7:30 AM. This was great however then they told me that I had to go to liquid for the next 48 hours. I have been on the optifast diet which has shakes, protein bars and soups for 5 servings a day so the thought of just soup and shakes sort of sucks. I know I can do this but it still sucks because when I saw the Dr. yesterday I asked and he said just keep doing what you have been doing. Craziness LOL. Can't wait for Friday to start a new journey in my life and get rid of the BAND that I still have.
  18. Try and just take it easy today and stay active it can help the time pass. Congrats on your day.
  19. Try not to think of the hospital things, concentrate on your finals. They are more important than anything else right not and studing may help keep your mind off of everything else. I know because my last final is today and I have surgery on Friday. Good luck on your finals and your approval.
  20. I have only lost about 5lbs thus far and I am on my last 4 days of preop diet and it is hard to stick with but you can do this just think of the goal at the end.
  21. Oh my that stinks. Please keep us posted on your journey anyway.
  22. You have a great out look, and Congrats on you AA in nursing. I hope you fond a school you like. That is a hard feild and the schools keep changing what you have to do to get in. So be prepared for anything. I know because I work at a college.
  23. Glad your doing better and your mom is coming to help you out. It is weird how life changes when we least expect. It seems to happen to me all the time, but what is even better is the Blessings that come out of it. You got this and I pray everything will work out great for you.
  24. Good luck and prayers for a speedy recovery. Look forward to hearing all your storys
  25. I have had lapband surgery and now changing to the sleeve. But yes lost like 50lbs and cold is all the time for sure. I was hopping it would go way bit it has not.
