Thank you everyone. I knew this was the right group to share this with. I hear everyone and appreciate the push. I will stick with 5:2 and be really strict and focused about it. This is a crazy time to begin the "diet phase" again, but if I don't do it now the holidays will surely be even more difficult. . Coops stall for 2 years , and Georgia slow loser does sound like me. We are all in the same struggle, just at different stages at different times, that's why its good to stay in touch and get advice. Had a good Fast Friday, saving my chocolate Bunny sugar free fudge lite for later and will be at 559. CowGirlJane, I am embrassed to day I don't know my blood type. I'll have to take a full body pic, I'm usually hiding behind someone in my pics. Hope your resting and not in too much pain. FYE losing weight on vacation.. now that's a vacation!!

I am an "in your face, no holds bar person" so my advice is to sit her down, when its just the two of you and tell her how you feel. Tell her how it makes you feel when she comments. If she continues, I would ignore her. Let her deal with her own issues and not make them yours. I have a cousin that is very envious of my weight loss. She says I took the easy way out.. (ohh. that made me really mad)). I ignored her for a very long time, then finally had to say something when I purchased some really nice jeans that I looked pretty good in.. and she said " Oh you think your cute" and I said.." Why yes I do".. She commented about not going out to diner with me because I don't eat anything. That's when I finally sat her down and we had a heart to heart. She didn't realize how her comments made me feel until I told her. Since she and I are really close ( as I am sure you and your friend are close).. She was able to reign in her negative comments. My advice, sit her down and have a good heart to heart.

Hi ladies.. I'm still here. Most are so close to goal, and glad 5:2 is helping. I'm not so sure any more. After the vacation I gained the 3 back took me so long to lose. I see everyone has been there before. I did fast Monday, Wednesday and planned to do one today Friday thinking that would help. Maybe I shouldn't but I'm a daily scale person and this AM I'm actually beyond the 3 back. Very discouraging. Is it possible 5:2 doesn't work for slow losers? I think I may have read that once. Very discouraged. OD.. how long did it take you to creep back to where you didn't want to be? Over the past two years I've never gone above the 255. I will say the past 5 weeks have not been a total waste, I've lost few enough inches that helped me fit the size 16 pants I've been trying to wear.. So getting all new pants this weekend.. that should keep me motivated. If you ladies don't mind I'm gonna start a new thread.. I'll post for a week only my daily meals.. besides tracking in my FatSecret. app I'll tell you guys what I'm eating, if someone would check that thread and work with me I"d be so appreciative. I'm starting to feel like such a fat failure and that's just not me. Sorry to be the self absorbed Debby Downer of the group, but I could really use some help. I know you have all been where I'm at, and I applaud your loses and the ability to lose 100 pounds and stay there. Your all awesome. Cheri still on the journey after giving birth, Coops, Georgia, Laura and FYE keeping it off and so close to goal. you ladies are my heroes. Don't get me started at how proud of CowGirlJane, losing almost 200 pounds and making the decision to go all the way with the body lift. What an amazing transformation.

Hi. I"ve started this thread to track what I eat daily. It's not enough to track it in my phone app. I think I need to write it down so others can take a look. Number one, it will help to keep me honest!! do I really put EVERYTHING I eat in the app.. I thought I did. Number two someone can take a look and see where I might be going wrong. I know for the first week when I faithfully track I will lose a few pounds. You'll see I eat the same thing practically every week. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to cooking. I cook for my family, Hubby of 30 years, 26 year old daughter (she and I watch our weight together), my 22 year old son (he's 6"2 rail and swears he's fat very healthy eater), and my 2 year old grandson. We eat , like everyone else I'm sure, mainly baked Protein chicken ( lots of that ), pork, beef and fish. Today isa Friday ( 3am here in Cincinnati ), I can't sleep. I'm starting day 3 fast for this week. Last meal was before bed snack of Edammae and diet green tea. The plan for today, not eat anything until lunch time, I'll have salad, then diner.. small steak and spinach.

I might have to start with the dreaded Exercise !!

Chimera.. Happy Birthday!! and enjoy your trip . Having just come back from a long weekend away with the family I can testify 5:2 was not in the plan. I ate like I was on vacation ( not a good idea ). It took me 5 weeks to lose 3 pounds and I gained it all back in a weekend. I did however enjoy my trip!!.. So be careful or get ready to get right back on the horse.

My advice.. don't relax too long. Now is the time to lose the most weight you can. Remind yourself..you don't want to get comfy where you are and look back in a few months a few years and wish you had kept the fire going. Just know this is the time to keep going. Start to think of it as a way of life.. think of what your doing as the normal. or close to the normal. Eventually when you reach goal and are in maintenance you may not have to track every thing you eat and can indulge every so often. Look forward to that.. but for now.. stay focused.. that's my two cents.. I didn't and I regret it.. Two years out and still trying to get to goal..

Seven months and twelve days post op, and I hit Onderland! My BMI is down to 42.3 from 60.5, and I'm down five sizes. I still have a ways to go but I feel amazing! I saved the outfit I took a pic in the day before surgery, but the pants were so big I couldn't keep them up lol.

Hi Ladies. I'm back from weekend in New York. Didn't fast those days in fact, right in line with everyone.. carbs, fries, NY pizza (ohh.. if you like Pizza, then NY pizza in my humble opinion is the best), cheesecake deserts. Anyway.. I'm back and found of course I gained a pound.. so fasting today. Harder then usual because I'm not at work today. but so far..mid day doing good. Start the day with Protein hot chocolate, green tea later, then salad. saving for diner and evening snack. I bought Artic Zero bars.. never had them before. I'll keep my expectations low and hope they hit the spot for an evening chocolate snack. I also purchased, Dry Roasted Edammame.. Have never had those before, but I"ve read they are a good protein snack. So I'll give them a try. your also all doing so well in the 100's ( that's oneder-land right? ) I feel kinda out there with over 50 pounds to lose before I'm under 200 pounds. But I'm forging ahead. Helps to keep in touch.

Hi everyone!.. Glad to hear the blahs are going away. Coops such talent thanks for sharing. Cathy I am an IT Manager in a manufacturing company so I feel your pain. Manufacturing shutting down all over. Keep the faith. On another note, has anyone experienced nausea when waking up? I'm not sure this has anything to do with 5:2, but sort of.. Since on 5:2 my sleeve restriction is very evident. I feel fuller much faster and it is really obvious if I eat beyond full. That's a good thing, the tool is still doing its job, helps keep my portions smaller. I don't remember the morning nausea in my early sleeve days. Any thoughts? BTW since I've started I've lost about 3 pounds.. From 255 now 252 glad for that but it's taken me 5 weeks to get there. Will check in later have a great day.

FYE.. Your right, I try not to deprive myself, I save the final calories for a snack. Jello SF chocolate mousse one of my favorite Snacks. Goal is to stop at one. I'm heading out on a quick trip to NY this weekend. My oldest son is receiving his Black Belt in Korean Martial Art Hwa Rang Do, my hubby teaches. Family trip.. driving 10 hours , then shopping ( besides eating one of my favorite things to do ). I'm not the kayaking, hiking type, but I hope you have a great time, stay safe. Ladies.. tomorrow is a new day.. hope it starts looking up for everyone.

Glad to say yesterday's 'funk' has gone and I am feeling a bit brighter... took some time out last night and endulged myself in some drawing - I find it a great stress release, even though I wasn't really stressed. My job sometimes really dampens my creativity and I just needed to 'get it out' - any way, here's the pic I drew of my son! It ain't perfect but it was a great tonic for me and he loves it.
We are going to redecorate his room soon and he want a graffiti theme, so I will try to replicate this on his wall... wish me luck!
