KiMster sending cyber hugs to u. Stay in touch. Sometimes just writting your feelings helps u move through them. After surgery you probably feel weak physically and emotionally. But be encouraged as you look forward to a bright tomorrow. Try to stay strong. Lean on family and friends. This strength of yours often amazes, You deserve more than just praises. With all you have been through, I hope you get rest, Keep hope for tomorrow because you are profoundly blessed.

Chimera glad u had a talk with hubby. Its hard to get back in the swing of healthy eating when family brings in treats. One trick we have hubby brings in treats he likes that I don't (hard. To find ) he likes fig newtons and key lime pie I don't. If he does bring in chocolate its only on the weekend and in small amounts. Try to make a deal that works for both of u. Don't beat yourself up. Look how far you've come OD here's my two cents too early for the exclusive talk. Tell him u like him without what might come across as pressure Not a Footbal fan. But the SuperBowl is the only game I do watch. I watch for the commercials and the half time show. I will root for Seattle cause they have the nicer uniforms. Yeah me! I joined Curves. Now let's see if I can do 3 days a week for at least the next three months. Then we'll see. -

Go Sar! Go Sar! Go Sar! Gives me hope to stick with 5:2. Low number still there most days. Haven't gotten to Curves yet still high on the to do list. Remember I am BrownDoesAll mostly for others so I gotta push through to find time for myself and I will. Stay tuned! -
Glad 5:2 is helping. I didn't lose at first and was very frustrated. It did help with getting the sleeve restriction back. Also helped gain control over the evening snacking. Since the few pounds gained over the holiday I hit 5:2 hard. Added a few more fasting hours in my two fasting days and am finally seeing scale move. So congratulations

Sar loved the story about the talk with your son. Children are so honest and most sons really love their Moms. Now get in front of. That camera more often so you'll have smiling pics to share Happy birthday M2 hope u enjoyed the cake. Ohh dating is hard. Good luck ladies. Follow your gut. Way to go on the 3lbs lost Skinny! Feed looking forward to see party pics I attended a funeral yesterday for a very dear sweet Uncle. He was 72 in good health but out of no where. His heart just stopped. He's such a quiet man he may have been having problems but we didn't know. Part of the eulogy talked about how important the dash on your head stone is. You know the lived 1957 - 20?? Everybody's dash is different it represents the life you've lived. We must all make our dash count. It was very moving. Not a downer post cause our family funerals are mostly up beat celebrations of home going. Mostly a mini family reunion. I actually didn't mind getting in front of the camera for family pics. Lord life is short! Still rocking the 5:2 scale moving slowly and I will take it. -

Hi ladies had an issue with my phone so. I am catching up on some past post so bear with me. M2 and Skinny keep fighting the good fight shaking the carb monster. My demon is now the sweet creep. If I see it I just can't say no. Urgh! "Just a bit won't hurt" but when I say that daily yes it does CGjane I agree with Skinny you gotta let go of the guilt. You'r not responsible for how someone else choooses to deal with their life. Life is to short to live any of it in a bad relationship. Globe. Big decision in front of you. For my two cents I would think towards staying the six months and banking the dollars. -
Thanks! Cool gonna give it a try.

BrownDoesAll replied to FishingNurse's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
SNacking at night is the hardest. I do the 8 hour eating with. My 5:2 plan. Can be really really good 2 days a week. This may be making 5:2 work for me. Keeping hope! -
Thank you everyone for the input. I prefer dancing like Zumba but I have not found a Zumba class that fits my schedule. A friend suggested Curves. I thought it had a personal trainer component.Sounds like it doesnt But toning sounds good. Depending on the cost might give it a try. Gotta get moving

Good to know Laura is ok.everyone needs space every so often. On the 5:2 front I am doing surprisingly well. I have lost the few extra holiday pounds and hit a low for me. I have added a longer fasting period which may be helping. Now once I can work in more exercise maybe scale will keep moving -
Hi Escape_Pod. Can I have that no-flour, sugar-free oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe?
-
Globe what's the reason trainer says no fasting? If I. Had a personal trainer that was aware and familiar with the sleeve and also did some ressearch into intermittent fasting then I would listen.

Hi ladies had two good fast days this week. Pounds are down then back up. I think I wiill try to weigh once a week instead of daily. Loving the new pic Georgia two beauties. Sar high school age children oh how I remember those days. Hope the mood turns soon. Globe so awesome u have found someone to get that hug I want to send u. Cool u get even more. CGJ I so hope I didn't offend u on the kissing on the first date. I know. This is an old subject. But wanted to say it wasn't my intention to judge. I am a big believer in to each hiss own. U guys may not hear this much but "do u boo boo". My point was to be safe. I was scared for u when u said he stopped after u protested. I have zero Sex drive. I only get pleasure in my dreams. Hubby and I don't talk about it. We just don't. Our marriage is great in all the other areas. Not sure when it happened but our bedroom is for sleeping. Anyway, I digress , CGJ again I sincerely apologise if I offended u. U, Daisy and anyone else dating goood luck. Its tough finding the right person to share your life with. UK u remind me of me, listening, thinking , but low key. Hmmmmm.... M2 when my last baby Jade past a few years back we spread her Doggie ashes in a large flower pot and along with seeds from a plant. We take care of the plant and see our Jade grow. I feel bad for our new dog Issis cause we always compare and Issis doesn't measure up. We tell stories about Jade and u would think she was Lassie saving children from burning buildings. I think she even helped hubby with his taxes once. Issis is scared of her shadow. Gotta get up shortly and go to work. Cyber hugs to everyone! -

CGJane I $ay get Boo'd for this comment but I worry about u. I am old school and don't think I would ever kiss on the firt date. To me it sends the wrong message. Do u carry mace? Do u google these gentlemen before being alone with them? I am an old "fuddy Duddy" but for my two cents are u a bit too trusting of these men u only know from a paragraph in a bio or what they tell u about themselves. Please be careful. -
Hi Dede u are not a failure! U have lost 100 pounds u are on a journey. I had my surgery in 2011 and never reached goal or even come close. I am a vet that now needs to use the sleeve tool to lose weight after surgery. Isereno gave excellent stratgies. One I wanted to add is a picture board. Visualization of your end self. Keep a pic oof what u lool like now and a pic of your fav gown. That may give u strength to stay on track. And my last suggestion plan a treat. Clean eating is good but feels like denial and dieting. We have to make this. Eating a lifestyle. I haven't mastered this but must find a way to satisfy the sweet tooth without giving in to the carb monster or the trigger foods that take us all down a dark road. Congrats on the engagement!

This is an oldie but a goodie. I still smile when flying and not have to ask for a seat belt extender

WOW! Gained 10 LBS over Holidays-HELP
BrownDoesAll replied to ASBgirl's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
ASBgirl don't beat yourself up for living life. We have all been there. Sounds like you've learned and have a plan to change. Now its mind control to stay focused but figure out a balanced way to enjoy food in your life. That's my downfall I can't eat a piece of trigger foods without going nuts. But watching the scale daily for me is the biggest tool (besides the sleeve) that keeps me from gaining too much. You have the right plan. Stay in touch -
Fasting on Mondays and Fridays. Easy now that I am back to work and all the holiday goodies have stopped showing up. I have lost the two pounds of holiday gain. YEAH me! The fast days help with the mind control over the carb monster

Globe I have so much compassion for you. Of course you are tired in mind body and spirit. You are going through so much. I so admire the strength u muster to keep going. I wish I could just give u a big ol' hug let u get out a soul cleansing cry after which u can rest for a minute then keep going. It takes self confidence and a boldness to sing in front of others and a good way to expresss your feelings especially at a home going. I pray for you continued strength and peace in your mind and spirit so u can focus on u. Can't give any thoughts on the weight loss except muscle weighs more than fat. I can't find the right balance of eating and exercise to get my scale moving either. URGH so frustrating! Any decisions about moving back to the states?
