  3. 33 here...class of 1996...been overweight/obsese since age 8.....had lapband surgery in 2005, lost 40 pounds and gained it back...now having revision to sleeve on June 11,2012 in Houston,Texas!!!
  4. I'm still pre-op....surgery date 6/11/12....but I had another question.... How long did your, what I've heard other people call, the honeymoon period last? Just curious...
  5. I'm self pay in Houston and I was able to get my insurance to pay part of my sleep study, scope and blood work procedures....see if his office can do it...if the insurance still will not pay, atleast it buys you some time before you have to pay for it!
  6. All I can say is wow wee.....you go chick! Keep up the great work!!!!! You should be so proud of yourself!!! I'm so looking forward to June!!!
  7. The last time I did care credit I had participated in a promo, no interest for 6 months....so I would imagine no penalty
  8. I am scheduled for June 11, 2012...
  9. Thanks! I brought up the question, because I watched a youtube of a lady who had the sleeve done, had a baby and wasn't able to lose anymore weight after the baby....so her doctor revised her to the RNY... I do believe the sleeve will work for me....I'm more interested in being healthy than how thin I can become...
  10. Just a question that I have been thinking about.... Does anyone know if anyone had revision to either RNY or DS after having Sleeve surgery??? I know the history behind the sleeve being the first step to DS.....but has anyone ever had to have revision done due to low amount of weightloss???
  11. yeah, usually when I'm losing weight I have to lose atleast 50 pounds before I saw a change in my clothes
  12. Hey where can you find these ingredients?? Red Mill Flour Almond meal never heard of them before....
  13. I decided on having the sleeve done in October 2011...I called a number of doctors and got quotes, to get an idea how much I would need....I cant have it done until June 2012, due to my schedule....my date is June 11,2012
  14. All of my family and true friends know and I am so suprised how supportive they have been....but they know about the issues I've been having with this lapband....as far as work, only 3 co-workers know that I am having it done and they know I haven't told anyone else....I just prefer to not make it a topic of discussion, plus some of my other co-workers have made negative comments in the past of famous people who have had WLS and I rather not be the center of everyone's convos about WLS...I dont lie about it, I just avoid steering the conversation that direction...my students ask why I've been missing days (for pre-op stuff) I told them I've been having personal issues to deal with...I teach 11 year olds... I'm happy you feel comfortable to tell everyone you know....after I have the procedure done, I people will notice a change....I may share it then or may not....who knows...

  16. I've done both the going to a sleep study facility and I've just finished an at home sleep study...basically they send you a box with a device and wires and stuff and you have to hook yourself up and sleep with a monitor for 3 nights, send the stuff back and they mail your dr the results....so glad to be pass that!!
  17. I've never had a child before, but why don't you just wait until after you are finished to have it....tummy tucks cost atleast 10K here in the states....why stretch your skin out again after paying 10K to get it cut off??
  18. You will be successful! just keep your mind focused on the goal....and when you need to express yourself, blog on here
