plan on going to sleep....you shouldn't do anything after that procedure....1) you will not feel like doing anything and 2) the medicine makes it so that all you really want to do is rest...

I'm in a similar situation....I'm a couple of years older, 33, still no kids and my only problem is that I'm obese....my suggestion is think about life afterwards...not the first couple of weeks (we know those will be rough) but think about being healthier, active....enjoying life.... My family is still asking me if I'm sure this is what I want to do, and I tell them, the alternative is living a short life, I rather live, thank you.... When I was your age I decided to have the lapband, because I was scared of the whole rerouting thing with RNY...now 7 years later, if taking 80% of my stomach is what must be done to help me, so be it.... Just remember the reasons why you made the decision for WLS, if you haven't write it down....so you can remind yourself of the positive...

Oh I'm a teacher as well...that's why the summer date too! I'm not scared about the procedure, I just want everything to be safe for me as well as Dr. Yu....I like my doctor, he's very supportive, and his staff is super nice, can be forgetful at times, but aren't we all.....

I'm getting sleeved on June 11th....I have my last pre-op appt on May 22nd, that's when the NUT suggested I start...so I'll be on the pre-op diet for almost 3 weeks (its my own fault, my doctor took some Fluid out of my band in Feburary because I was starting to get really bad acid reflux, and I've gained 10 pounds ( ) I've bought alot of sample packets from bariatric pantry.com as well as CHIKE.. I'm in Houston, Texas, my surgeon is Dr. Yu
