I 2 had the back pain starting on day 9.I think its due to sleepy uncomfortably on a couch or n a recliner. I finally gave in and tried very slowly and laid on my tummy. Omg the feeling was amazing. It didnt hurt and it was uncomfortable. That was the best sleep ive ever had. But I get the back pain still especially when I go for walks. I think it has to do with posture. We sit differently so our incisions dont hurt then when we fet up to walk it causes back pain. Well thats what I think it is. Hope urs is getting better

I am 1 week post op. Had surgery last wednesday. Starting weight when i started process for surgery was 340. Right before i had to do preop liquid diet I was 334. In those 2 days I lost 10 lbs (324lbs) Water weight of course. I gained some back after surgery from swelling and the gas. Before I left the hospital they weighed me in at 328 that was Saturday. So in the last 4 days Ive lost 16lbs. Im happy but is this normal or wayyy too much?? I have my appointment with surgeon tomorrow but I just wanted some opinions. Hw:360 Sw:340 Cw:312 (havnt been this low 300s in over 2 years!)

Sometimes as I drink my fluids ill feel like there is something stuck then if I wait a few and swallow again its gone. Anyone know what this is? I drink slowly and small sips. Just started today

I just had surgery wednesday and I has yet another question. Did any of u get tingling or numbness when u sat on the toilet? I can urinate fine but if I sit for more than a couple minutes to try to pee more or have a bm my lower legs get tingly as if I sat too long. Once I stand up they dont feel that way anymore

No I had a family (non supporter) ask about it so I wanted comments.

Had any like tasted anything like a sauce or chewed a good then spit it out before you were given the good ahead past liquids?

So I atr a sf popcicle about an hr ago and I now feel like I have gas ? Or like something is stuck In my throat when u no theres nothing there. Neone else wiyh this problem

How can that be when im hook up to a saline iv for fluids??

Today is post op day 4. I had surgery wednesday. Anywho. I am doing good. Passing gas. Walking. Showering myself. EXCEPT not getting enough liquids down to go home. And I want to go home to my daughters. I know that if I go home the way I am I will be back her next day from dehyration. Just need words of encouragement. Also how much can u drink before u cant drink nemore 30ml? Then goe long do u wait to try again? I have a routine. I nap, wake up drink a bit, toilet, breathing exercises, walk, drink a lil more then Im tired again.

I dont use a cpap and my pulse ox has been 98-100%. But ima ask about the o2 & will it raise my bp. Thanks. Todays headache is mild. Maybe tomorrow it will be gone....

Okay so I am 3days post op. I woke up from what felt like a 6 hr nap which was only 2hrs. Anyways I woke up with a bad headache. I am not on moriphine. I do have compression stockings on to prevent blood clots. My bp yesterday was elevated at 144/78. Today it was 110/70. Pulse has been slower than norm for me. It ranges from 45-55. Used to be 90-110. Anyone experience what I am going thru

Good morning. Just wanted to update you all. Im doing good this morning. 1st day out of surgery was wednesday early evening. It was horrible. I remember being nauseous A LOT! Dizzy A LOT! And pretty out of it. I slept most of the time. Thursday rolled around and it was a little easier. I was on meds for nausea and loratab for pain. Me and moriphine dont go together so that stopped right away. By latr thursday evening I was doing much much better. Still a little nausea if I talked to much (family & friends who called to see how i was). I was in a recovery room since midnight due to hospital being full. I have been in my own room for about 6 hrs now.the nurse even let me take a shower around 1am and changed my bedding. Awesome experience here so far. Staff is very caring and helpful. I can walk and pee with no problem. However, still no bowel movement or gas from down below which is a must if I want to go home. (Looks like a suppository may be in the near future) Also a major issue is when I drink liquids I get nauseous. Even little sips. So thats my goal for today pass gas and sip more.

I know how u feel.night of day 1 of liquids I wanted to give up but I went for a walk n felt better.it gets better.I promise.I too am having surgery today. In about half an hour.so good luck.happy n fast recovery

Im just scared and kind of panicy. I have panic disorder but so far im doing good.I hope I feel ok once out of recovery.in past 3 days ive alredy lost 11lbs. Yay me

I read all your posts about liquid diet for like 10days or more. Mine is only for 2days before surgery. Im dealung with the hunger. Its not that I want food. Its just im dizzy n feeling sick which is causing me to have a bad headache and panic attacks. Yesterday I have about 12-15oz of liquid. I know I need more but the more jello I ate or water I tried to drink I got sicker. Thanks for all the advice and good luck wishes.

All will be great.I know what u mean about leaving ur kiddo.ill be away from minr a few days. U will do great.
