Ok So I have a question I am hoping someone can help me with... I started drinking my Protein supplements this week and as of now I have been drinking 4oz (20g) 2x per day (in between meals) Am I supposed to treat them as a meal and not drink anything an HR before and after? or should I just be using the protein as a once a day Meal Replacement?

I'm soo glad you posted this! I went to Mexico and was able to get my band filled during the procedure and am in amazement at the lack of discomfort I've experienced in terms of restriction. I am only on the puree portion of the diet which may be why but even in the first days things were smooth sailing... I've already lost 12lbs!

I DID IT!!!! I was banded on Friday and as I sit here in my hospital bed sipping on tea, apple juice and Jello I realize this is the most empowering thing I've ever done... Ya there was pain involved but when I compare it to the pain of trying on clothes or being just a pretty face all these years it motivates me to work harder! I am sooo proud of all of us who have committed to taking control of our lives and not allowing food to be our BFF anymore! I hate that part of me has been embarrassed about getting banded bc in my mind I felt like it was a cop out... If I only buckled down. But now I realize that the true cop out was my binge eating, not taking a step forward to attain the long and healthy life I deserve to live! I have kept this from many who are close to me bc I was scared of what they might say but I can't wait to tell them that NOW I am in controll!! thanks to everyone for all your support! I couldn't have don't it without you!

Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Increased Protein intake, combined with increased physical activity would explain the change in inches and not the scale. You are toning your body... that is great! Keep up the good work and remember good things come to those who wait!
