  1. I like that "false advertising" lol. I am down quite a bit of sizes and I have very saggy breast tissue. My band size is small a 32 but the breast fat that has to be scooped up in a bra is a H cup...go figure. I don't know about breast augmentation but my back hurts and it's a sad sight. If your back hurts and you have gone to the doctor about it, as long as there is documentation....you might be able to get a breast reduction done and your insurance could foot the bill.
  2. On the left side of your facebook there should be your lists and the groups will be on the left, you just click on the group. If you are having trouble, and still can't find it, I can give you my phone # and I can walk you through just let me know
  3. I work at a hospital and bring my big 52 ounce jug of water with me and I have never had any issues. The good thing is, Joint Commission doesn't come every day thank god! The longest I have seen them there is a week during the day. I would check on being able to bring a bottle that has a lid.
  4. @@Sajijoma oh ok. Well keep me posted

  6. My husband vapes. I have vaped before just for the flavor with no nicotine, to help curb hunger cravings. Vaping doesn't have the harmful carcinogens like cigarettes do. Congrats on quitting! I don't see that it would cause any problems if you are just vaping PG/VG and flavoring only, at 0 nic level. What is your PG/VG mix?
  7. This was a great post. Sadly most of society is naturally and initially judgemental I still assume that whenever I go out to eat, or go shopping at the grocery store, or eat in front of others that I think that they are thinking "she shouldn't be buying that or eating that" I feel guilty. I have also ate in private for fear of what others may say or think! Why do I care about what others say or think? Because those things can be hurtful, although yes... I shouldn't be buying that or eating that. I am hoping over time, my self confidence will improve. I will always empathize naturally because I am a nurse and genuinely care about others.
  8. @ Does everybody get abdominal binders for bypass? I thought that was for open procedures. How long do you need to wear it?
  9. @SunlnUT ...Well, I vomited everything I ate for a little over 9 months and knew there was something wrong. When I started having problems, I vomited a few times a day. After he removed all of my fluid, the vomiting got worse to all foods. It was terrible. Heartburn all day every day, if I ate and if I didn't eat. But now that I know , it makes sense as to my symptoms
  10. So glad you got that band removed! I am sure you feel better without it. Congrats on the 60 pound loss in 3 months!!!! That is incredible! Whoot !!!!
  11. Bariatric Advantage and Celebrate Vitamins have a a yummy calcium chew. Chocolate, caramel and lemon. They are delish!!!
  12. Anyone cold? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? (Not sure if anyone will get the Bueller reference) lol
  13. @SunlnUT mine was dilated as well. Apparently my band was actually positioned too high in the first place then slipped up onto the esophagus.
  14. I have a self insured through the hospital that I work for. The only bad thing is that I have to stay in network. It's really good insurance, but they keep raising rates every year! Lol . It used to be 100% paid no deductibles, but for the past 4 years they have kept raising the cost.
  15. @ I am so glad you are ok and that the surgery went well. I am so sorry that you are in pain. It will improve with time. The pain worse than hysterectomy? Oh my gosh!!! I thought my port removal was horrible pain. I wonder if it is in comparison or better than that! Can they give you Popsicles instead of jello?
  16. @phatfatgirl- how old are you? How long did you have your band? My insurance made me get mine removed and I have to wait 8- 12 weeks to heal before revision. It's already been 3 weeks so, the count down begins.
  17. Fabulous forties ladies! I am one of them! I am 41. I plan on shedding this extra weight with revision to bypass in November. And hopefully reach my goal weight by summer time next year. I keep hoping that I will get to my original weight, but 6 pounds 11 ounces is not realistic hehehe. All joking aside, let's face it its so much harder to lose weight in our 40"s than it was whenever we were 20. With our WLS tools, we can all reach our goals and a healthier life:)
  18. My surgeons office submits everything. All I need to do is show up to the appointments
  19. @@BLERDgirl interesting! I didn't know that Stevia was in the ragweed family! Thanks for sharing. Learn something new everyday
  20. Everybody is different. I had an allergen 10 cc band and never got over 5.25cc in 4 years that I had it. My friend had the same band, same surgeon and she had hers filled at 7 cc and still could eat whole foods. I believe it is just the anatomy, and positioning of the band on each individual person as to what level you will feel satiety. Whenever I had fills, I would usually get only 0.25 or 0.5 cc at each appointment. I never wanted aggressive fills because I have been too tight before.
  21. I had my band and port removed on 8/10 and ever since then, I am FREEZING cold!!!! I have no earthly clue as to why! I walk around the house in a heavy fleece bathrobe, house slippers, with the thermostat set on 75!!!! I turned off all of the fans and enjoy going outside in the hot humid 89 degree weather....in my fleece bathrobe because my body thinks it nice outside! I can tell you, that is not me. Usually I am turning the thermostat to 70, tuning ceiling fans and room fans on to stay cool. What in the world is wrong with me? My husband and son are suffering because I am so cold. I often have to get in a hot shower to get warm! Anyone else experience this after any surgery?
