    Sex After Lap-Band Surgery

    Well, I see this is mostly ladies talking so I figured I would chime in for the fellas. I have lost 170+ pounds.... and sex is AMAZING!!! A totally different world. My wife is a smaller girl and she is amazed! Just another added benefit to a longer healthier lifestyle!

    The Surgery

    My surgery was last year Oct 25th! Don't let the nakedness bother you! It's all part of the game, plus that is a small price to pay for such a great opportunity. Focus focus focus. Meditate on what's to come after surgery. Great things ahead of you:)

    Yogurt, Frozen Or Not

    I eat Fro yo all the time!, No issues, Fat free is the way to go. I go once a week with my family. I have lost 176 pounds and staying that way with no issues.

    Hit My Goal!

    Havent been on here in a while, I did post a couple threads months ago, I had Surgery Oct 25th 2011. I hit my goal June 7th of 2012. Total lost 176 Lbs in 8 months. It is possible, But the band was truly only a small portion of why I was able to do what I did. It was 99% Mental, 1% physical. Keep your heads up out there its a road well worth traveling. God bless.

    Yeah, i just stuck to what my doctors told me, 1200 cals a day, and work out, so thats what I did. There was days where I didnt feel very well, But all in all I would not have changed a thing. and I am holding steady at a good 190 pounds give or take a couple pending water consumption. It is truly amazing how well you will learn how your body operates and fluctuates when your so in tune with losing weight. Ill tell ya what, Dropping 10 pounds now is a cake (no pun intended) walk lol.

    Thank you so much! If I can tell you one tip that I stuck to through the entire ordeal, It is to Mentally shut the door on your old life style. You cannot go back there if you want results, not one bit. You need to prepare yourself mentally for the challenge. I go to the gym 6 days a week. I now run 2.5 miles a day. When I was heavy I started walking 2 times a day, I have to do this at 3 am due to my family needing there dad home every night after work, But I was and still am 100% committed. I have ran in blizzards, pouring rain, Blistering heat.... But I did it EVERYDAY I was supposed too. My diet stayed strict. Absolutely no cheating whatsoever. 1200 calories a day and not 1 more. DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION and a solid steel mentality is what did it for me.
  12. I lost 100 pounds 3 months. I am down 163 in just under 8 months. Started at 360

  15. My biggest problem was eating. I ate unhealthy and waaaay to much. The band took care of that problem. The band is my fail safe from over eating. And due to the ability to expand my pouch or cause a slip, I do not allow myself to go past 2 ounces per meal.

  17. I wake up everyday at 3am. Go run 1.5 miles. Get to the gym at 445 am sharp, lift for 70 ish minutes. 6 days a week. I also take my lunches at work at run 2 miles everyday.
  18. Hey guys, thank you all for the kind words. For everyone wondering how I did it, it's really simple, embrace the opportunity you have been given. The lap band was probably the smallest part of the reason I have lost 161 pounds so far. My doctor said, no sugar, no dairy, no more than 1200 calories a day. And that is exactly what I have done from oct 25th 2011. I made small goals for myself at 360 pounds. I could not run at that time, so I began walking daily about 2 miles. I stayed on low carb meal plans at 2 ounces per meal, 3 meals a day. Plus 3-4 protein shakes. My protein is 120 cal per shake. I drink nothing but water. No juice, no soda, no milk. I strength train 5 days a week for 65 minutes. And I run a total of 22 miles a week religiously. Those are the main reasons as to my weightloss. The lap band is the final decision maker as to the quantity of food I intake. Excersize burns off the fat. Anybody can do this if they embrace it fully. I give myself no breaks. It only opens doors to the bad foods and lazyness. A body in motion truly stays in motion. A lazy body becomes lazy. Any questions feel free to shoot them at me:)
  19. I am proud to say I have lost 143 pounds in the last 5.5 months, through militant excersize,weight training, dedication, and healthy eating. I started at 356, today I am 213. My finish goal is to weigh 180 pounds. My doctors have been great and I have stuck to their instructions to a T. I have a 10cc band that is at 5cc and I am just now starting to feel restriction, the hard part is coming to an end. It is very possible:) Here is to my final 33 pounds!!
