  6. I had my lapband removed in Dec. I had my sleeve put in on Monday. Am so excited. The thing that concerns me is this surgeon told me the other lapband dr. had left a "buckle' from my lapbamd still in me. WOW. No wonder my fibromyalgia was going crazy.

  10. I have AETNA also and just had my redo from a Lapband to the Sleeve. They paid for it all. I was at 190 the first time (I am 5 foot nothing) this second time I was 167, just knew they would not do it again BUT THEY DID. Am home sipping chicken broth and so excited. So do not get discouraged.
  11. I had mine done on Monday. I think I am doing pretty well. It was not that bad. Mine was a redo, I had my lapband taken out in Dec. and just got the sleeve. So excited, if this was the worse of it. I can so do this!!!
  12. Had mine taken out in Dec. had been so sick 2 weeks before could not eat or drink anything so it was probably a relief to get it out but I don't even remember pain. Getting my sleeve on Monday and so excited.
  13. I had a lapband for 2 years and my hair got so thin at the crown. I found some stuff called Xfusion. It is a powder and fills in the "bald, thin" spots to make it look fuller and comes in lots of colors to blend int with your natural color. Could not live without it.
  14. I also have Aetna. I got cleared for surgery last week and am having my surgery this MONDAY. MY BMI is 32. I had a lapband that I had for 2 years and had just achieved my goal weight when I started having trouble with it and had to have it removed this past Dec. since then I have gained 32 lbs. I never thought the insurance would pay to have it done AGAIN. So I am very excited and feel very blessed. Be encouraged that Aetna will pay.
  15. I got approved last week and am having my surgery on MONDAY here in Amarillo...This is a redo for me I had a lapband removed in December due to complications. Did not ever imagine they would OK it this time since I am 30 lbs less than when I had the lapband. But praising God it is getting done.
  16. Stephanie, thank you so very much for your input. I have been having trouble for about a month. Some days I think my band has slipped because I cannot eat anything but I can drink, slowly some days, but I can drink. On days that it is cold it is especially hard to eat. I will not freak out as much. Once again thanks.
  17. Have no fill at all but still feels like i have fills. Cannot eat breat pasta or potatoes.
