I was banded on Thanksgiving and I felt the same way. Protein Shakes will help and sip away. I thought I was going to die lol but I promise it gets better as the days go by. Good Luck!

I am in the same boat. I was banded on the 20th and although I know my doc's instructions, boy they looked a lot easier on paper than they are proving to be in practice! I guess this is where a big part of the battle is fought. Seems that way from comments made by bandsters who are much further along in the process than we are. We just need to stick it out, follow the rules, and hopefully soon, we will all be on the other side of this!
Happy holidays to all and a peaceful, quiet tummy to all the newbies out there!

Hope the Protein works! If you can make a cheesecake and not eat any, consider yourself one tough cookie!!!!
Hoping each day gets easier for you. I just keep telling myself in a couple weeks, things will be so much better! Plus, we'll be doing so good and all the people that overate at Christmas will be wishing they would've followed in our footsteps!

Try to relax. Don't let other people scar you. I have some negative people around me that did not think the band was the way to go, but it is the right thing for me - I did not want parts of my body re-arranged and/or removed, or the longer recovery that comes with the other options. I'm now 2 days out from my LB surgery and there has been pain, but not extreme pain. The gas they pump in and trying to get up from a bed or chair has been the worst part - go for walks, they have made me feel better. Good luck! It's normal to be nervouse. Think about how you will feel at 180, how much easier it will be to get around and get through life - there is a price to pay to get there.

I was banded on the 20th. I have really been laying around and allowing myself tto heal.. I somewhat feel like I wanna cry but I think that is tears of joy becaause it is time to start a journey to a better me. I am ready to show the world what I can do.. I like the Isopure drinks for protein.. tastes really good. and I am drinking chicken broth. it does stink that I can not have any christmas food but hey that is another 15 pounds that I will never have to try to loose..

Hey guys... I too was banded on Dec. 22nd (yesterday)... The amount of pressure and gas I feel right under my chest & right collar bone was unbearable... It comes and goes but my tummy in general feels weird as expected... I'm really hoping it gets better with each day. Now I'm eating Soup broth & Water... Haven't gotten any Protein yet... Just hang in there guys... We made it this far, we can make it thru the rest...
By the way, I'm apart of a secret Facebook group for other people who have the lap band all over the US... If u wanna join, just drop me a line
