Matt Z got a reaction from GreenTealael in Took the plunge. Gifted my self a scale for the maintenance phase of my journey. I'm
Congrats! Seems like I'm transitioning into that phase myself as well. Fighting it tooth and nail though, even just bought some fat burner/pre-workout supplements to see if I can shake and shimmy some more of this fat off.

Congrats on your progress, you look amazing.

Matt Z got a reaction from Orchids&Dragons in I've noticed that another bad behavior has crept back into my life. I've started not
I bought a 30 min "hour" glass just for this! I use my phone when I'm out... but at home, when I'm not paying attention because of the TV or whatever else is pulling my attention away, I just flip the hour glass and I'm certain. Good on you for forcing those changes to stick... THAT'S what' makes this surgery work long term. Changes.

You can't compare your losses to anyone else. Everyone is going to lose at different rates, from different body parts for all sorts of reasons. So, start now, stop focusing on weight and how others are doing, it'll end up just making you frustrated or unhappy. Stick with your own targets and goals, and be sure to keep your body fat %'s in mind as well, so many people neglect to track this metric and it is really important to do so. I've been stuck at the same weight for more than a week now, but my body fat % is dropping each day, so I know I'm doing something right. Revisions lose differently than first timers, partly because we already started off with some restriction and added the malabsorption. I was down 10.5 lbs after my first 7 days post op.

It gets better. I was at my wits end by the end of the 1st week of purees. Just stick with it and once you start getting cleared for soft, solids and then finally raw foods, it makes the struggle that much more tolerable. *IT WILL GET BETTER*!
