  1. Call your doctor and talk to them? 2 months out you should be well into being healed up (not fully, the typical range is 6 months to be totally healed) but you are healed enough that it shouldn't be an issue. If you are following your diet still, and you know it's not a specific type of food that you can no longer tolerate, you should check in with your PCP / Surgical team.
  2. I'm prescribed Dronabinol for my sleep issues, so sometimes I get some munchies from them. Stick with healthy options. Fruits, veggies, depending on your craving. Just really keep yourself in check with portion sizes and really hammer that water intake as well. Having good options around is the key here. Halo Top ice creams, fresh or frozen fruits, sugar free options. I'm a huge fan of Kay's Naturals Protein snacks for all sorts of different "needs", high protein, low carb, low cal snacks that actually taste really good and they have all sorts of options from sweet to salty to cheesy. For when you just need to crunch through a bag of "chips". I find a bowl of strawberries and a banana a really great sweet treat. Or yogurts with some Cacao powder on it.
  3. Gottcha, I wouldn't stress. If they didn't already tell you that the missing test was going to delay your surgery, odds are it's not going to delay your surgery, ESP if you don't smoke.
  4. If your skin is dry, it's possible you need to up your water intake. I'm using my original wedding band to hold my newer band in place now LOL.
  5. Totally normal this soon after surgery, and the vomiting can actually make the nausea worse due to potential swelling caused by irritation. Typically people get better between the 2nd and 3rd weeks from what I've seen around the boards. But when in doubt, call your PCP / Surgical team and pose the question to them.
  6. For urine testing, nicotine can be testable for 3-4 days typically. I'm seeing some research say it's testable for upwards of 20... You can speed that up with lots of water and exercise.
  7. Congrats you are doing great!
  8. I've been married for almost 20 years, I work at a hospital... nothing offends or shocks me. Seriously, nothing. I'm dealing with some sympathy bloating myself because my wife is cycling... Crazy sympathy bs... Fat Prom???
  9. Interesting... I'd cut the broth out all together and see if that helps. It's just really not much more than just flavored salty water anyway.
  10. right, but how much does your pre-op diet say you can consume a day?
  11. ATENA can take upwards of a month for a determination. Just keep praying that they don't deny it for some reason. I had mine denied and was forced into a 6 month doctor assisted diet and exercise program before they would approve.
  12. Check this page out to see what you've got for points https://store.bariatricpal.com/pages/rewards 2000 points is worth $50
  13. Start over. Nothing anywhere says you can't just scratch everything and start from square one. Pretend you didn't have the surgery 6 years back. Start doing a pre-op diet. Then transition back into your progressive increase diet. Get back into tracking EVERYTHING. Check your BMR because it has decreased since you started your process. You can do this, you just need to focus and get back on track.
  14. I had asked this in another post of yours I believe, but... how much broth are you consuming... vs how much does your nutritionalist / diet sheet say you can consume? I know mine was 1 cup a day, that's it.
  15. Being put under General Anesthesia is easy, you don't have to do anything, you just fade off to sleep. As far as passing out and tube feedings... not sure what or when this occurred to folks in the stories you are reading, but, passing out is pretty much what General Anesthesia does, you *will* have a tube placed into your airway (call Tracheal intubation) and you will be on a breathing machine. This is all normal and 100% common practice. Understand that medical practices change and update often. The horror stories I read were old information. The death rates for Bypass surgery have dropped quite a bit from the old "1 out of 1000 people will die on the table" rhetoric. Being nervous/scared is normal. Just remember, all those horror stories, look up all the weight / age related horror stories and compare them to the WLS stories. Not doing something is often much worse than taking the limited risk and reaping the rewards.
  16. This could actually get worse for a little bit. The reason for that is due to visceral fat reduction causing more pressure on joints, nerves, tendons, etc. It should resolve as your body adjusts to the lower body fat, but it seems lots of people don't understand that fat isn't just external, it's around all of our organs, muscles, etc and it protects and lubricates those components. So, as the buffer around your muscles, joints, nerves, etc starts to reduce, you might notice some increased pain until things sort themselves out. I know I'm still working through some hip issues myself due to the weight loss.
  17. I do 1 8-12 oz coffee a day, in the morning. No sugar, no sweetener outside of some sugar free non-dairy creamer and a splash of fat free milk to for the caffeine to bind to so it doesn't impact my calcium intake.
  18. Picked up 2 sets (matched set shirt/pants of Super Hero stuff) of compression gear from Aliexpress for less than $30 shipped. Can't wait!
  19. I get that... I've moved to avoid someone that I noticed in the mirror while walking around at the gym... and it was me.
  20. I didn't think pre-ops were supposed to drink broth all day, I know my sheet said I could have 1 cup a day. Did your pre-op diet sheet really say you could have unlimited broth? As far as being nervous, that's 100% normal and natural. I'd be more worried if you weren't nervous at all.

Just not feeling "it" this week. I'm exhausted, not sleeping well, feeling really run down, drained. I feel fat. I know I'm not anywhere near as fat as I was, but... I feel fat this week. Bloated, gross, fat fat fat fat fat. My sleep **SUCKS** not sure if it's the weight loss changing my CPAP pressure requirements, or something else all together. I don't want to have to get another sleep study, because they blow, but I know I need some follow up. Not looking forward to yet another medical bill. Work sucks this week too, a shop of 5, reduced to 2. really 1 and a half since it's just me and my team lead, and my team lead has to do all the leadership / team lead stuff... so, It's just me, supporting just under 3000 users, on over 2000 computer systems, in 20-30 buildings spread out over all of RI, parts of Mass and CT. Fun stuff. I've been in and out of stalls for almost a month now, more in than out of at this point. Between Monday and today I'm up 2 lbs... not sure why exactly. All intake is right where it should be and I've been in the gym daily. Not going today, just not feeling it. Way too tired and drained to even care really. Growing tired of this forum again as well. Which sucks because, well, I do enjoy helping folks out. Just getting to the point where every question has been answered over and over again, yet almost no one bothers to use the search function first. So that's it really... Not a happy Matt at all this week.
  22. @Creekimp13 How's the weight loss going? I noticed that you haven't updated your call out in a bit. Curious if you were finally able to break your listed goal weight yet. Not trying to hurry you out the door, just more curious if you were able to finally cross that finish line.
  23. It's the natural progression for most folks. Use the site to answer questions, etc etc etc... but then once you get into the swing of things post op... there really isn't much use for this site outside of a few random questions that might pop up. That's one of the reason you don't see many Vets around these parts. Most of us have long since given up on the site. I know I'm having a hard time staying engaged this week. I stick around to try to help out folks as much as possible... but it's just getting tiring reading and answering the exact same questions over and over. As far as being missed... most of us could leave and this site wouldn't notice too much, if at all.
