    Tips please

You can dilute with more milk to help with sweetness. Not sure what protein since you didn't state which, not everyone uses the same products pre-op. But pretty much, pre-op is all about powering through stuff. Just do your best to stay on task and not stray from your pre-op diet.
  3. Search for "Stall". And stop worrying about how much you have or haven't lost at only 2 weeks post op. Focus on healing first. Then, after 2 months, you can start to "worry" about weight/fat loss. Seriously, if you are getting everything you are supposed to, are doing everything as instructed and are drinking plenty of water. There is nothing to worry about this soon after surgery. Just heal first.
  4. This sounds EXACTLY like dumping. What did you eat? Do you know how much sugar was in the food? At 2 weeks out you should be on purees still.

    My first 5K

    Congrats, that's great!
  6. You *never* want to force a emesis unless you've ingested something poisonous/toxic. At only a month or so post op, yes forcing it would increase your risk of damaging the staple line. What did you eat? How much did you eat? Did you drink while eating? Are you watching the sugar and fat content of your food?

    Hair Loss

Actually, nothing at this point is going to stop what's happening. Since the "loss" portion of the issue is what's happening right now, and when that starts happening, you can't do anything about it. Everything you take at this point is only going to help the new hair that's growing in.

Sleeved 11/21 too much fluid intake?

No. You are not drinking too much, you cannot compare yourself to others as each surgery is 100% unique from the next. Even twins having the exact same surgery by the exact same doctor on the exact same day would not experience the same post-op "issues". You sound like you are doing good, why does everyone get concerned when they are doing good?

    Pre Op quitting smoking cannabis

Why are you stopping? Curious the reasoning and justification. There are plenty of folks that use medically that have reported positive outcomes with use to speed and aid in healing post WLS. I'm on Dronabinol for sleep... it's FDA Approved THC pills that I get at CVS. Zero issues, even with taking them the night before surgery.

    Tespo

I'd be inclined to agree with you on this, When I was banded, I didn't actually need any extra vitamins. If someone were eating correctly or "completely" then vitamins aren't going to be needed, at least not ALL of them. I mean, it certainly doesn't hurt to be getting all the vitamins you need just to be sure, but I don't personally believe they are as imperative for sleevers are they are bypassers. If sleevers can eat enough to maintain a proper caloric intake, then you've got enough room to maintain the proper vitamin intake as well. But you and I both know, *most* folks don't eat correctly.

I feel like I blew it

I get this... I was hoping for dumping syndrome to keep me in check. When I realized I could eat pretty much whatever I wanted with no real effects... it caused me to take a step back for a second. I've still got some "dumping" that happens when I really push things, or when sugar is just off the charts. Like I had a piece of Apple Crisp yesterday, the "crisp" part is literally just butter and sugar. Like 2 cups of sugar to top 1 pie... I had a slice and it caused some discomfort, gas, but that was it, no "dumping" or anything really negative, just 30 mins of being uncomfortable... then I was fine.
  13. Still doing this... mixed results though at this point, still happy with the whole process overall. Didn't follow yesterday and lost weight LOL funny how that works. I'm thinking when I drink beer, I stall or gain. When I don't, I lose... all without any relation to what I've eaten. Like on the 21st I had climbed up to 213. I was 211.8 yesterday morning, Ate a decent amount of food, had pies, breads, etc. I did not drink at all though. Today, 210.3 again. My BF% did not change. My chart is starting to level out. My 30 day is pretty flat. Might have hit the lower limit, at least until I really start hitting the gym again and working on the muscle mass. I know the weight will climb, but I'm ok with having 50 lbs of "fat" while having a decent amount of muscle mass.

I feel like I blew it

You are over reacting. 2 glasses of champagne didn't stretch out anything. I don't think you "messed up" at all, it sounds like you ate within your limits. The whole idea isn't to stop you from ever eating certain things again... it's to make better choices. This was a holiday, you ate smartly for a holiday... stop beating yourself up. You didn't do any damage. The problem isn't what you ate, the problem is what do you do next? Do you keep eating things you shouldn't be? Do you eat more than you should be? Do you drink more and more? If the answer is "no" then don't worry about yesterday.

    Tespo

Given that Sleevers have no mal-absorption portion of their surgery, then *any* vitamin you take is going to be fine. If you can't stomach pills, then TESPO is an option. There is no controversy around TESPO and any other liquid vitamin. The results are going to be the same as they would be if you were taking pill form vitamins. The big controversy is with the patches. Which I've been using for almost 9+ months now and all my labs are fine. (get my 9 month labs drawn here in another week or so)

    Weight Gain

Carbs really cause stalls. Outside of the whole 3 week stall being normal. You **REALLY** need to push the fluids, your body needs water. And it uses water to process fat. So, if you don't give it enough to do what it needs to normally, fat removal isn't going to happen. Current medical research is showing that humans need between 90-110 oz of water a day... for a normal person. This is why I push the 128 oz a day number. Because if you want to process fat, you need to give your body MORE water than it needs to meet it's daily requirements, this way, it'll use the extra for fat processing. Do your best to stick to your actual diet. Straying is only going to sabotage your process. You are the ONLY person that can do this... so, do it. Yes, it's hard. Yes, it's emotional. Yes, it F'n sucks... for a while. But then, those new habits are habits and the old ones are gone. It takes 2 weeks on average to make something a habit. It can take a month or more. Just get back to doing EXACTLY what you are supposed to, suck it up and deal with the BS for a while... and then, before you know it... it won't be BS any longer. This surgery is a tool. Only you can use the tool you've been given. You can chose to leave it in the drawer, useless and collecting dust... or you can use that tool to build the new you. Carving things isn't easy, if it were, then everyone would be carving up whatever they wanted... carving things is hard and takes time and skill and effort. You are carving the new you. Take the time and effort to make sure the you that you are carving... is the you that you want to see.

  18. Read the ingredients on that protein and tell me if it says "Isolate" or "Concentrate"... if it says Concentrate, then that's more than likely your problem, Whey Concentrate has high levels of lactose in it, because it's simply a milk concentrate. Isolate has little to no lactose in it. Being only a week out, there is a lot of healing related issues with foods that you'll come up against, most of these will ease as you heal up.

    Sweets

Thanks for accepting the truth... too many times I'm curt and to the point with folks on here and they get all weepy about it or defensive. Good luck... it's tough and it sucks, sometimes it just takes facing down your demons. Or, swap out for things that fit your diet!

    Sweets

OK. Stop. Pretty simple. You know you shouldn't eat the, so don't eat them. Sorry if this is blunt or callous, but, seriously, what do you expect someone online is going to do for you? No one can do anything for you. Hell, even if you went to a doctor, and they told you again not to eat sweets, the *only* person that is going to stop you from eating what you shouldn't... is you. Is it hard, sure. But at the end of the day, only *YOU* control what *YOU* do. You decide to give into the cravings. They don't make choices on their own... Step up and do what you need to do. Focus on all the reasons you wanted the surgery to begin with. This is your surgery. This is your tool. This is your future. Own it.

    Post op nausea

How's your water intake? Increased acid production can cause lots of sensations, including nausea. Take a prilosec or tums or other acid reducer and see if that helps any, if it does, you might want to talk to your team about it. ESP if the nausea meds are not helping... it sounds more like reflux/acid/gerd.
  22. Biotin doesn't make hair thicker... it doesn't make hair grow. It only provides support for the hair that you normally grow. Biotin is nothing more than B7. It doesn't actually *DO* anything to the hair, it only allows your body to process carbs, proteins and fats better to break them down and utilize them and the energy from it for hair *and* skin function.
