Alternative options – other than surgery

The purest form for your skin is drinking lots and lots of water! Can't get any pure then that! It also helps you to flush out your fat faster. Coconut oil is great for your skin...so that is a great idea....also exercise helps so much! I have reached my goal, and my arms, thighs, neck and legs all look great....I have a little extra skin on my upper arm, but nothing that keeps me from wearing tank tops. My tummy looked awful because I had three children, each giving me more stretch marks every pregnancy....it was so bad that I could stand up straight and couldn't see my hoo-ha in the mirror! Lol! My breasts also need some work because they look like they were blown up balloons filled to the top, then someone let a hole bunch of air out! Hehe! The only other area that didn't fare to well was the sides of my butt cheeks. I had some wrinkling. I say had because I just had a tummy tuck yesterday, and from what I can see now I got some extra bonuses out of it....my skin isn't wrinkled on the sides of my butt cheeks anymore, my thighs got a little lift, and my pubic area got a lift from it as well! Anyhow, I hope you have a nice easy surgery, and an even better recovery! Good luck to you, and feel free to pm me for any questions.
  3. It took me 1.5 years to lose all of the weight I wanted. I stalled regularly too, usually around my Tom. However after stalling I would then lose a bunch ( like10-15 pounds) in a very short period (about a week to a week and a half). Yes it is true that most of those out there will lose the most during the first year, but it is really up to you to achieve better results by eating by the plan set by your nut/surgeon, as well as exercise. Since you can't do very much exercise involving your knees why don't you try the chair exercise program? Look it up through google. There are some tapes out there that you can get that is for low impact chair exercises. Good luck to you! Also; you have lost 40 lbs since May! That is a wonderful achievement! Congratulations!

    Plastics Newbie Here!

Ps.....sorry for such a long post! And pss...the surgeons prefer if you are very near your ideal weight, and they also prefer for your weight to be at a stable place for about a year.

    Plastics Newbie Here!

I just had my tummy tuck yesterday, 9/10/2013. I was doing really well with pain at first...but right now my tummy hurts bad! I have a really high threshold for pain too! I couldn't even imagine having more then this at this point to recover from. I went to a consult with a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills that was willing to do a tummy tuck, breast lift with implants, lipo suction in the abdomen and under my chin....all in one surgery for $15500. However he wanted to do the ancor inscisions, which gives a scar that goes all the way up. I wanted to get a second opinion because of that. So I went to another plastic surgeon and didn't even mention the previous doctors opinion, and that one never said anything about wanting to do that...plus I saw his work and it was top notch! Very good and even scaring on all the pictures I saw of other patients of his. I also loved how thorough he was. However, he does not do more then one cosmetic procedure at a time....and the reasoning he had behind that is due to the statistics of doing one procedure at a time has a risk of 1/40,000 mortality rate where as doing more then one at a time raising the risk of mortality to 1/4,000! After he explained those numbers to me I realized I would rather do them separately. It is costing me a lot more money going to him....tummy tuck was $7,500. Breast lift with silicone implants( they cost $1000 more then saline ) for $8,700, and that is without the lipo of the tummy and under my chin....I haven't gotten a quote on those procedures yet. I can imagine you could probably find a surgeon that would be willing to do almost all of those procedures together, but like I said I tolerate pain very well, and I couldn't even imagine having another surgery at the same time as this tummy tuck! What I can tell you is that in doing the tummy tuck it gave me a mini thigh lift, as well as a pubic lift, so I would have the tummy tuck first before getting the thigh lift, because you may end up not needing it after all. I will be posting before and after pictures once I have my breast lift on 10/22 and am recovered enough to take them. Message me privately if you would like anymore info, or advise. Good luck on your surgeries....and make sure you research the heck out of the doctors first before choosing one!
  6. Tummy tuck in the morning! So excited! So nervous! Will be posting pictures soon.

    Sniffle, cough, sneeze

I take airborne. Honestly the best stuff ever! I rarely get sick, but at the first sign of anything I start popping the chewables like a crack addict...lol Not only does it make me feel better right away, but it gets rid of any cold fast! Good luck! Have a great time in Paris!
  8. I just buy generic, much cheaper, and exactly the same product. I usually get them at Walmart or Kmart.
  9. Be careful not to have to much of it....that stuff can act like a laxative in some people.

    Vitamins

It depends on what stage you are on. In the beginning I did all chewables, or gummys....but now I just take normal vitamins. As for the expense....look at it this way: your grocery bills have been cut by at least half, so paying a lot for vitamins shouldn't take to much of a chunk out of your wallet! Hehe good luck to you!

Body sculpting advice from 'Jiggly Micheals'

My belly is the first to gain and the last to lose. I agree with mwilliams42, do what works for you. We all lose differently, and we all will gain muscle differently as well. When I did a boot camp I measured my belly before, and after and I had lost 3 inches off of my belly in 6 weeks, and the main exercises that we did for stomach was crunches, sit-ups, and planks. That obviously worked for me! Good luck to you!
  12. I have five days left on my countdown to tummy tuck! Nerves are kicking in! So is excitement!

    No Restriction

I can eat more around my Tom too. You do reach a point where you have less restriction and can fit more. Just make sure you are fitting more good foods in...and not just eating crap. Good luck!

    Loser ????

Um....pretty sure I was allowed soup at five days post op. stop being down on yourself. There is no way you were able to consume more calories then you should anyways. The surgery stops us from physically eating to much....now you have to work on your head hunger. Good luck!

    Starving all of the time!

Are you taking a ppi? If you are then maybe you need a different one. You can also ask your doc for some anti nausea meds. The acid made me feel like I was starving. As soon as I got on a better ppi I felt much better. Good luck!

1 month after post op loss

I lost 18 pounds my first month. Then I hit a stall and didn't lose for a month. After that I normally lost about 8-10 pounds a month for the next 6-7 months. Everyone is different, so it is hard to compare, however most people do hit the dreaded 3 week stall, so be mentally prepared for it to come. Good luck to you! I hope your reach all of your goals!

    Pain

I felt better after four days. Make sure to take advantage of the pain killers they give you. It helps you to get up and move around more which promotes healing. Good luck!

    Tattoos

I plan on getting tattoos to cover/camouflage my surgical scars from plastic surgery if it is to bad. Other then that nothing else. Although I have gotten two tattoos since my surgery...the first I ever had.

    two year surgiversary

My insurance won't cover any skin removal so I am self pay. I could have gone to the first plastic surgeon I had a consult with in Beverly Hills and have saved a couple thousand, but my local doctor had better results. I saw his before and after scars and they were magnificent! So I am shelling out $17000 for the tummy tuck and boob lift with implants. Thankfully I have been saving for a while so I will be paying cash! Yeah! I thought about going to Mexico for plastics, but I feel more comfortable being closer to home, and closer to the surgeon for follow up care. Can't wait! Totally in count down mode! 12 more days till tt!
  20. I notice it a lot, especially when I go out to the clubs. It feels good to draw some attention, but some of it is unwanted. I can't go out without a good friend that is there to help me ward off the guys that are stupid and think it is ok to pursue after being told no. I am not very good at being mean to them as I am just not used to this kind of attention. Some guys don't understand that sometimes a girl is out with the girls not to hook up with a man, but to just dance and have fun with the girls. So yes, I notice a big difference, no it doesn't offend me that the same people hitting on me wouldn't have looked twice at me before... Sometimes I am flattered, if they aren't totally harassing me. I did have a guy grab me once when I was walking away from my girlfriends to go to the bathroom. He pulled me into him, grabbed my butt and started grinding on me. It totally freaked me out, and made me realize that I need to be one of those girlie girls who only goes to the bathroom with another girl from now on! Lol!

    two year surgiversary

Yay! For you! I am right ahead of you for plastics. Having my tt on 9/10 and breast lift/augment on 10/22! I will be posting before and after soon! I didn't lose quite as much as you, but I am feeling good with the size I made it to....now can't wait to get these next two surgeries, and be done with this journey! Congrats to you!

    Help in PAIN!

Ok...so if you can point your toes straight out, and then flex your toes torward your knees while flexing the muscles in your legs and there isn't a really sharp pain then it isn't a clot. If you do this and there is a sharp pain....then you should go to the ER. At any rate no matter what do not massage the area whatsoever. You should go in to see your doctor in the morning no matter what. Good luck!

    Fecal Impaction... tmi... HELP!

I'm so glad the mag citrate helped! Like I said before I have had patients die from impaction....what's worse is that it seems like they were having a heart attack. I work with the criminally insane, so they aren't very good at reporting bm's. when they are on Thorazine we have to keep charts of their bm's...literally have to ask them 3 times a day if they had one, and for some we make them come and get us to look at their poop in the toilet! It's a $hitty job, but someone's gotta do it....lol
