    Breastfeeding

Yes, it is possible to do so. You will need about 400-500 more calories a day to support you milk supple, so that it doesn't take away from your body. Just make sure you are including good calories, make them all count, as well as upping your protein intake. Eat lots of fruit and veggies too. One of my closest friends had the gastric bypass, and then got pregnant. She was able to do it as long as she was eating the right kinds of food. It is also very important to take your vitamins every day, and make sure that it has frolic acid in it, as it helps prevent Nero tube defects.good luck! And congrats!
  2. That is truly wonderful! I remember when I reached my goal weight...I just couldn't believe it!
  3. I agree, at first it sucks, and I even envied them a little bit because they got to enjoy and I couldn't. But after a while I started liking it again. After about 8 months I enjoyed it even more because I could have some of my cooking as well. All of my family ended up losing weight with me, ( not that they were over weight to begin with) because I would make the receipts with healthier ingredients.....they never even noticed the difference, but my husband and son benefitted the most because both of their guts went away. They still don't know why...lol
  4. Mine is cherry flavored hard candies. I can't seem to get enough of them! Thankfully there are some options out there that are sugar free! I am answering this thread with one in my mouth as I type! Haha!
  5. (Dang it, I was trying to fit that word and it posted instead..lol) Benefit of the doubt, let him try to see things your way, and see if he is willing to change. If he isn't then I would kick his butt to the curb girl! Good luck!
  6. Sounds like he enjoyed having someone being dependent on him emotionally, so that she wouldn't really care that he is taking advantage of you financially. What he is doing I wouldn't call love at all. If something doesn't feel right to you, then I would go with your gut instinct on this one. Especially if you don't believe that you even love him anymore. My husband used to sabotage my diets all of the time. He would order pizza, bring home fast food, ice cream, candy, every time I would try to start a new diet. I finally had a sit down with him and asked him if there was some reason why he would do these things when he knew I was trying to get healthier. He had to recognize it in himself that he was worried that if I lost weight that other men might start being interested in me, and then I would leave him. Once we had that talk he got on board, and changed his ways. He even started helping me with my exercise. I would try having a talk with him over it, give him the benifit

Tummy tuck before and after photos

That sounds like a good idea, but I think I solved my issues with it by bringing the tubes up under my binder, and then tucking each side into my bra. My boobs are big enough to hide them completely...lol Thank you for the tip though!

Tummy tuck before and after photos

I can get up and walk around very well. In fact walking doesn't hurt at all. Sitting down, and getting back up cause's a little sting, but not to bad. I did realize that I still need the pain medication, because I overslept one of my doses and I woke up about an hour and a half past the time I should have taken it and my incision site was burning, and felt really tight. I won't be waiting to long Inbetween doses anymore! The swelling is really going down. I can't believe how fast it has come along! I can wait till Monday when the doc will remove at least one of the drains, if not both of them. The drains are the biggest pain in the butt. Like I said, I will keep posting updates, and progress pictures!

I am now 5 days post op. feeling pretty good now. I am able to move around just fine. If I forget to take a pain pill the incision site feels like it is burning, and really tight. It keeps getting easier every day though. Still loving my results! Will post more pictures of the scar once the doc removes the surgical tape.
  10. I cut mine into a short bob, and then layered it with highlights. It adds the appearance of volume to your hair. It does grow back, and it will stop falling out soon enough. good luck!

    Pre-op Diet ..starving

The pre op diet was the hardest part of the whole journey for me. I was one cranky woman! It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel while you are in the middle of it, but it will come and go....and you will be shocked at how fast everything goes by. Good luck!
  12. The real bad sounds went away after a month for me. However I am more then two years out now, and my tummy can still make some loud noises. Usually happens when I haven't eaten in a while, and then drink water instead of feeding it. It doesn't really bother me anymore....but it can be embarrassing when other people hear it. I just blame it on not eating for to long. Lol

    When?

I was lactose intolerant after surgery for a couple of months. If you aren't then there really isn't a reason not to have it. Enjoy!
  14. You don't need anybody to reprimand you....you are doing a good job of it already. You know what you need to do. As for eating crap....every once in a while it is ok to indulge... I am a firm believer that if you tell yourself you CAN'T have something, then you become obsessed with that thing until it sabotages you. Moderation is the key. Don't indulge everyday, but don't deprive yourself of something you really want. Have a little and then cut it out and stay on track. Just keep trying! You will get there!

    Worst thing so far

That was really difficult for me too. I was a royal pain in the ass when I couldn't eat real food. I don't know how my family put up with me! It seems like forever while you are in the middle of it, but soon enough you will be able to eat again. stay strong!

    Skin Elasticity?

My skin did very well in most places. My tummy was stretched out by babies, so there was no hope for that, but I just had a tummy tuck to fix it. My arms look really good, and although my thighs are a little wobbly, it isn't bad enough for me to get them fixed. Make sure you drink plenty of water as this helps keep your skin moist, and helps it bounce back better. Good luck!

I just added a picture of my tummy as of today. The swelling has gone down a lot. I can't believe how small my waist is so far! Can't wait till I can get my boobs done! I already feel like a completely different person! I love it!!!

3 days post op tummy tuck. Swelling has gone down a lot! Can't wait to see how I will look when it is all healed. I couldn't be happier right now!
  20. From what I have read the real difference is the amount of weight loss in the beginning. After around two years both surgeries pretty much even out with the weight loss. I didn't want the bypass because of the malabsorption. I wanted to lose weight to be healthy, and malabsorption is not a healthy thing. I am more then two years post op and I have lost 30 pounds more then the doctor expected me to lose with the sleeve, and I couldn't be happier. Make sure to do your research, but ultimately the decision is yours and yours alone to make! Good luck!

    I'm embarrassed...

I felt that way when I first started. It helped me to realize that everyone in the gym is there to improve on the way their body looks. A lot of people in the gym feel the same as you. It is hard to get out of your own head, but you can do it. Try making a new friend or two there. It helps to have someone with you to workout with that helps with you being accountable for going to the gym, and also people feel better about things when they have a friend backing them up. Good luck! You will do fine!

It looks like you are eating a ton when lettuce is consumed....but try putting a cup of lettuce in a blender and just chop it up...you end up with 1/4 or even less of a cup of lettuce. That is why you can eat so much of it.

    Does chub rub go away?

Yes it does go away...and my skin has never been so soft in all my life.

    Bowel movment

Lots of water, and mineral oil. You don't get cramps with it, and it lubes everything up so it just slides out, instead of having to push.

    Exercise

I started off walking around my towns beautiful lake 2 times, which equals about a mile and a half....I did that 3 times a week. I would also play the Michael Jackson wii fit game called the experience with my kids. It was absolutely fun as heck, and I would be covered in sweat at the end, plus had quality time with my kids! After I got into better shape I started hiking this 2 mile trail that was a moderate level of intensity. I would hike that 3 times a week....then I entered into a 6 week boot camp at a kickboxing gym. There was a contest with that and I one first place for overall improvement ( I didn't feel guilty for winning, or like a cheater because losing weight wasn't a factor for the contest) so I won a free membership to the gym. I was doing their moderate level kickboxing class 3 times a week for one hour each class. All of these things added up to me losing my weight and meeting my goals. I think the most important thing for you to do in exercise is to find something you enjoy, and stick to it. If you hate it you are less likely to do it. Also, try to get a workout partner. You are more apt to stick with it if you have someone counting on you to go exercise. Start off slowly so that you can build up your strength, and make sure you get enough Protein in so that you are able to build healthy fat burning muscle! Good luck!
