  1. You are looking fabulous! Here is an example of why you should not look at the scales. My son and his friend are both 14... Both are 5'11" and both are 175 pounds. However my son works out doing mma and is in a lean size 32 pants where his friend who does not work out is in a size 36 pants. My son didn't understand how they weigh the same amount, and are the same height but his friend is so much bigger around. Muscle, while it weighs the same amount as fat, takes up less then half the actual volume as fat does. My point is that while the scale may not be moving your body may be exchanging fat for muscle and therefor the scale may not move, but your size will still get smaller, and you will appear thinner. So when you are feeling discouraged it is a good idea to measure yourself, and pay attention to how your clothes fit. Good luck girl! You are looking amazing!

    First period

    Thank you
  4. It's a ruff patch. It took me about two months before I was feeling totally normal. I had major buyers remorse for even longer after that. Now I know that it was the best decision I ever made! Good luck!

    First period

I get the same way before my period, and for a couple days into it. I usually gain a couple of pounds with it as well, however it comes right off after the period is over...and when I was still in the losing phase I would usually lose the most weight right after my Tom. Good luck!

    Insurance Blessing!

I got mine for $45 I feel very blessed to have good insurance. It is so sad that all of us don't! Good luck to all who need this surgery struggling with insurance...or worse, no insurance!

    Dreading lose skin

What worked for me is losing slowly...drinking lots of water, and exercise. I hardly have any lose skin besides my tummy that was stretched out from having kids. Good luck
  8. I get a hiccup..Just one right before I am to full as well. So funny!
  9. Hello...almost two years out now. Just wanted to let you know that the slower you lose the better for your skin recovery/elasticity. Also better for you body, as well as not losing to much hair. You will get there. It didn't come on over night, so it's not gonna come off over night either. Good luck!

    I was HuGe :( (picture)

Let me start by saying you look great! And then follow by saying...I wish my huge picture was as small as yours! I waisted to much time being miserable and wishing I would do something about it! If only I had done this surgery when I was your starting size. You are beautiful!
  11. Extra saliva in my mouth...feel like barfing. I am almost two years out...and I know when to stop now. You really learn your lesson after the first few times.
  12. My plastics makeover is scheduled for September 10 th for my tummy tuck, and October 22nd for my breast lift and augmentation! So excited. This journey is almost complete! :)

    worried

Haha! I cheated on mine and had a six dollar guacamole bacon burger! As long as its not a day or two before surgery, and you make sure to lose the weight that your surgeon wants, you should be fine....just get back on the horse! Good luck!
  14. It takes a couple of months before you are completely recovered from surgery. Give your body time...it will get easier day by day.

    VSG to increase fertility?

Yes, it does help a lot....but you should also be very careful not to get pregnant within the first year at least. There have been plenty on here that have had baby's post op without trying at all...unless you are racing the clock I would wait until you are very close to your goal before even thinking of having a baby.

    Lack of interest in sex

Well you are a man...so your hormones may work a little differently then women. Maybe you have been storing more estrogen in your fat then testosterone. I don't know how long it has been since surgery...but I know that within a few weeks of having mine I was like a hormonal teenager who couldn't get enough. Still even after almost two years my sex drive is higher then it has ever been....now this might also be the fact that I am almost 37 and women usually get a little more frisky at this age as well. I sure hope it increases for you! Good luck!

    Talk me out of it!

Best decision I ever made...and I was very against wls.
  18. I drew on the sidewalk with my daughter on my stomach at the park 4 days post op. if you don't have pain then you should be good. Always check with your surgeon whenever something comes up that you aren't sure about....but it sounds like you are one of the lucky ones that have a fast and easy recovery. Count your blessings! Good luck!

Full but Still Craving Sugar Help!

Well there are two different solutions that come to mind. Number one being that carbs are addicting...don't eat any, and sooner or later you will stop craving them...or two, go ahead and have some. Just have a little and be done with it. I am almost two years out and I don't restrict myself from having anything. If I have a craving for something then I have it...just a little bit usually does the job, and then my brain and tummy are happy. If there is something that you really want then have it. It has worked for me...I have lost over 140 pounds and I feel great! I know if I tell myself that I can't have a certain food then I become obsessed with it and it drives me nuts. Good luck to you!
  20. Thank you...yeah the arms aren't to bad, I still wear strapless, and sleeveless. I figure if so done doesn't like the look of my arms...then they shouldn't look...lol
  21. It took me a year and 5 months to get to 170. The last 10-15 pounds were the hardest and longest part. I was in a stall for about 4 months at one point...and then out of nowhere the weight finally came off. I am figuring I am done because I haven't lost anything since January. My plastic surgeon told me (first time I have heard this from a doctor) that I was perfect weight for the surgery and he didn't want me to lose anymore! I was shocked! wow! It sounds like you are moving right along! Wtg! Keep it up!

    feedback needed please

I know that it is hard to wait for the time to be up...and to get back to a more normal form of eating, however it is worth the wait. I can eat a hotdog now just fine, but I am almost two years out. Just try to be patient.

    Not losing..

Seriously? It doesn't just fall off...it takes time...everyone is different. And you will hit stalls. Stop weighing yourself. Go by how you feel...how your clothes fit. Numbers suck, ask anyone who takes math. Also, btw...the slower you lose the weight the better your body adjusts. You will get there. Good luck!

    feedback needed please

You don't have a pouch....but don't do that....please be more careful. Remember this is a whole new start. Slow and steady...slow and steady...you will win the race if you can remember that!

    Hair Loss

My hair loss stopped at around 8 months post op. it's the shock on your system that causes it. I believe all the extra stuff people buy doesn't help a bit...just a waist of money...but to each is own. I ended up just cutting it to shoulder length and adding in highlights and low lights to add volume appearance. Not all my hair fell out, and honestly no one ever said a thing about it...other then my hairdresser noticing the re growth. Good luck to you all
