    59 Yrs & 34 Lbs Lost

I am 64 and was sleeved July 10, 3 weeks and 16 lbs ago! Dr. Found a hiatal hernia and a cancerous tumor and six polyps in the stomach. The tumor is a Gist type tumor and caught it very early so no chemo needed now. Will scope the remaining part of the stomach in 6 to 12 months for the next few years. I am very blessed as I was going for the Lapland and this tumor would never have been found until possible it was large and treatment a must. I won the lottery three times on one day, July 10th!!!

    Coffee

I am on pre-op day # 10day and it is sooooo hard. I had my last daily non-fat latte today. BUT I intend to still have my one latte a day at sometime after surgery and healing. I was told to drink more water after having it. It suppresses hunger but also a diuretic. So I will drink lots of water. What kind of other pre-op diets has everyone else been on for 2 wks. before surgery?

    Pre-Op Diet Today!

Home from hospital after being sleeve 7/10. Not much discomfort at all, no gas and tolerating liquids well. Sleepy, but very happy with surgical results. Taking no pain meds. Also, I am 64 yrs old so very happy with results.
  9. I am scheduled for surgery 7/10/12. Starting my 2 week skim milk diet tomorrow! That is scary by itself! I go to the gym 5 days a week and I don't know how that will work withd type 2 diabetes? Anyone experience any problems with no Protein and still working out?
  10. Happy 64th Birthday k8tie1!
