  3. Doctors office called me yesterday and finally told me my insurance has APPROVED my procedure! I started the whole process back in September 2011. Surgery is scheduled for August 27th. The one question I was asked and don't have an answer is- which band?! I have NO clue! I am Super excited! dionaw

  5. I use Optimum Nutrition and it has 24g (I think) I know it's up there, and use 1 1/2 scoops, so right off the bat I get 36g every morning. And they have tons of flavors but you can't. BEat chocolate! LOL dionaw
  6. October 15th! I am shocked to say the least. My doctors office gets about 15 patients per month, they are trying to get more time in the OR, but that is my tentative date. So, 6 month diet ( insurance) and 1 more to finish up a consult, now another 5 months before surgery! So disappointed dionaw

  8. Yes! Love MFP, you can add me too if you want, a group of people to encourage and support is great, but I also like to look at everyone's daily food intake -not only for ideas, but to also keep you accountable for what you eat. My user name is : dionaw dionaw
  9. I am the same way - I've obviously told my husband, and I did tell my best friend but that is it. I feel good about my decision but I don't want to hear from anyone dionaw
  10. Congrats on your new journey dionaw
  11. Congrats! Every doctors pre op is different from how long, to what you can/can't eat. I've seen anywhere from 4 weeks- to one week pre op, I've seen one,two lean meals to nothing but shake. dionaw

  15. It did go by pretty fast for me though, trying to make sure I make the right food choices, getting into an exercise program, reading a lot on here, watching Utube videos for inspiration, and losing some weight on my own - you can do it! dionaw
  16. Wow, 2 months in!! I am finished with my required 6 month diet, but I have one more consult due to clotting disorder ( shouldofbeen taken care of during my 6 month but I can't change it) anyways, when I spoke to the surgery scheduler, they were booking out in September - from NOW! I'm not even sure once I have this consult what date I will be looking at, it will be a year in September for me. :/ dionaw
  17. A month or so!? I've been doing this almost 6 1/2 months and still waiting! Your time will be here before you know it! dionaw
