About Me
I have been overweight since 2nd grade and never felt comfortable in my own skin. I just assumed being "fat" was how I was meant to live forever. All the yo-yo diets never worked and I just pretty much gave up. Then I went for a physical and was told I had very high cholesterol and borderline diabetes. I cried for 2 days and then I decided to do something about it! I read about WLS online and the rest is history. I was of corse scared to death, but I wanted to live to see my kids graduate, get married, ect.
Surgery date: 4/26/11
That is the day my life changed and officially began!
I had my surgery in Peoria IL. Surgeon was Dr Salimath.
Everything went great and I have lost 90 lbs so far. I have aprox 25 left to go and I feel like those are hanging on for dear life! Lol
I still have issues with insecurities and idk if they will ever go away completely, but I will take it a day at a time till then.
I am always up for new friends, so add me if u wanna. I can use all the support I can get, anyone that says this is the "easy way out" is apparently ignorant and clueless about WLS in general.
