Ive Never Had Any Type Oc Surgery
I know it is a very big deal to us, but hey, they are used to seeing fat, naked guys and gals all the time. They probably don't even notice any more. I know I worked in the nursing homes for a long time and naked booties/boobies didn't look any different than noses to me. I saw them every day. You will be in la-la-land and never know it. You'll go to sleep dressed and wake up dressed. And don't worry about Aunt Flo. If she is here, they will give you a big pad and a pair of mesh hospital panties. Clean, dry and disposable. No worries chickie

No Where Else To Turn
Step away from the pot!! That is not the answer. It's just a step to lead you into even more dangerous and addictive patterns. I had a nervous break down two years ago, so I am going to give you some advice from experience. Much of what is going on with you is just a battle in the mind. We all talk to ourselves, not out loud, but in our minds. I bet I can repeat the daily conversation you have with yourself. "He is driving me crazy..I'm going to snap..I don't know how much more of this I can take..I hate *blank*..I NEED a hit." Should I go on? You are feeding your discouraged mind a constant IV of poison. The Bible (yes I am a Christian) says, "as a man (or woman) thinks in his heart, so is he." So, step number two after getting away from the pot, is POSITIVE THINKING. I know this may sound like some candy and rainbows load of bull, but it is not. Let me give you a little picture illustration here: If someone comes along and squirts lemon in your ice Water, It doesn't take much to make it bitter. Same with your mind, that bitterness (negative thoughts) swirls around in there and before long has ruined you whole attitude. But now is where you can take action. What if you start adding sugar to that bitter water and stirring it around. Soon you will have a nice refreshing glass of lemonade. Will the lemon be gone? No, but with the added sweetness, the whole perspective of the product has changed. This is where we go with the mind. The next time your husband gives you a squirt of lemon, don't add your own bitterness to it. Start with the sugar. Feed your mind sweetness. Repeat to yourself, I LOVE my husband. I have to have him. He is a great *blank*. Say it to your self all day long if you have to. Don't allow your mind the negative buffet. Do the same with every situation. I love my kids, I am thankful that I have a job, I am glad that I have a roof over my head, I am losing weight and getting healthier, at least it was one cookie and not the whole bag. You understand. We play a huge role in our emotional well being and it is our responsibility to take the reigns of our mind and guide it in the direction we want to go. The next thing you need to do is pray. You tell God, I NEED SOME HELP!! He never made the human being to carry all of life's burdens on their own shoulders. We are just not strong enough. He said, "come unto me all that are burdened and heavy ladened and I will give you rest." If you are sincere and ask with a heart open to his will, you will find help. Continue the anti-depressants if need be, but be aware that some may exasperate your condition. Monitor your status and if it seems to be deteriorating, consider asking for a different RX. I found Cymbalta very helpful during my trial. The Zoloft made me a zombie and killed my sex drive 100%. That does not help a marriage at all. It also does not help with your feelings of isolation. A woman needs touching. This stimulates the production of oxytocin, a calming hormone. So please, if you have lost your intimate relationship, work to start building it back. If it is the meds, ask for a change. Open the blinds and let the light in. Go out for walks if possible. The sun also regulates moods in the human being. Being enclosed in a dark house all the time can really put a damper on your happiness factor. Crank up the music! Listening to good, up beat music will help to lift the spirits. Avoid the sad, mad, depressed drinking, he's leaving or cheating kind of stuff at all costs. And try to avoid negative people. Some folks don't really care about your situation, they just feed off of your problems. So...let them starve. I know I don't know your situation, but trust me. These things are good for EVERYONE. There is nothing to lose, but some sleepless nights and stress headaches. Take it from someone who has been there. I let my negative thoughts talk me right over the ledge and straight into the gulf of a nervous break-down. You can't afford to go there. You have too much to accomplish in your life. Keep your chin up, bask in the sun , think happy thoughts and trust God. Best wishes on your progress You can PM me any time if you need to.

Am I Eating Enough?
I eat about the same way you do. I worry that I am not getting enough too; but just as Lissa said, if you throw up if you eat more, then you are eating enough. We physically can't eat any more, so what are we supposed to do? I just try to eat as often as I can right now. On most days I average between 400-600 calories. I have really, really pushed it if I get any higher than that.

So...my Sister And I Are Aleeved

Tibbie, this is such a good one. I love to fish! Now that I know that you can buy PINK waders, I guess I'll be getting some (when I get to goal). And my hubby has wanted to take me to Colorado ever since we have been married. I just might agree to go when I don't think I will smother to death trying to climb up the side of a mountain.

Haven't Lost Weight My First Week..
They pumped 10-12 pounds of IV fluid in me while I was in the hospital. It took me more than a week to just get back to the weight that I was when I went in. I also had the three week stall and IVs 6 more times, so my early weight loss was a constant roller coaster ride! You'll be fine, don't stress it. Don't want to lose those fluids too fast or you'll end up like me; with a needle in your arm every other day

Intestine Problems *warning Graphic Wording
What kind of yellow? Like neon Mellow Yellow colored? If so, my doc said that that is bile pouring through the digestive system. Just like what you throw-up when you have the stomach virus. It's kind of freakie...

Intestine Problems *warning Graphic Wording
I do have cramps, sick feeling, flushing, blah, blah, blah. Mine is not related to a specific food. It is just caused by the intake of any food or drink..even Water. Maybe you just have a little intestinal imbalance. Try some acidophilus. Its a pro-biotic. It is very good for your digestive system. If you have a bit of a bad over growth or if your good flora is low, this will help balance it out. It is in regular yogurt, not sure about greek. You can get it in many different forms.

Intestine Problems *warning Graphic Wording
I have had this for 13 years. Mine started after I had my gallbladder out. It is usually refered to as dumping syndrome, or that is what all of my doctors call it. My bariatric surgeon had really hoped that mine would resolve after my surgery, but it has not. It has gotten a bit better though. I use to have to go as many as 10 times a day. Now it is not hardly that many. You have the same symptoms. My doc gives Questran powder. I couldn't take it though. So I am still like I have been for years...if I have got to go, I have GOT to go.

Confused!
Well, I haven't had the band, but I have heard a lot of bad stuff about it. I can tell you about my sleeve though. I was sleeved on 2/14/12 and weighed 335. Now, I never get hungry. I have to make myself eat. I can only hold about an ounce of solid food. I can drink liquids pretty normally now. I no longer like sweets. I am down 76# in 3 months. I normally lose between 3-5# a week. I don't know exactly what you need to know, but I would do it again. Yes, I have had a hard time and yes it is a huge adjustment, but I believe it has saved my life.

Feeling Miserable
Awe girl, I had the spasms too. They are murder! They ease up as some of the rawness on the inside gets better. Just know that most of what is going on with you with the food issues is a mind thing. Your body isn't really hungry right now. It's more in shock. It will get some better when you can get something thicker in your mouth. But keep in mind, this is just a process. In a few weeks you will be able to eat anything you want and not have to worry about gorging on it. One bite and you will be finished.

Sleeved On May 17Th - I Thought I Was Ready. Not!
That's right girl, no matter what you have read or looked at, there is no way to completely prepare yourself for what you are going to go through. It is such a shock to the body! At least it eases up pretty quick; although when you are in the mist of it it feels like an eternity. Hang in there. Glad you are starting to feel better.

Boobies
Yes, not having a tat on the girls is for sure a plus at this point. A rose would absolutely be loong stemmed and a horse would look like a bushy tailed giraffe..LOL. Sent from my iPad using VST

Memorial Day Challenge!
- My 3 Month Surgiversary, Down 76# And Nsvs (Photo)
I know I'm going to catch it for this, but truthfully I don't exercise.I have been laid up for a couple of years now because of various health issues. Last month I had knee surgery and I am still recovering from that. I do an hour of physical therapy 3x a week for that, but anything else is just consequential; playing with the kids, cleaning, shopping, loafing etc. I do hope to be able to soon though. I have a Wii and love the dancing games. I just can't dance on this knee right now.- I'm Scared That My Restriction It Too Tight...
If you got in a few mouthfuls of anything, I promise you that your sleeve is bigger than mine! I am 3 months out and can still only hold an ounce. That is two regular bites. If I take the 3rd one, it will come back out; either spit out or thrown up. I really think that they took too much of mine out. I believe it is about the size of my finger. I also never want to eat. I don't really like anything any more. I have already lost 76#. That is wild! I truly hope mine relaxes over time. It is every hard existing like this. I would still have it done though. I would just tell him, not so tight, if I could go back.- My 3 Month Surgiversary, Down 76# And Nsvs (Photo)
Hello everyone. I hit my 3 month surgiversary (5-14-12) this Monday. I was down 75# (including Pre-op) and as of this morning it is 76#. I am down from 335# to 259#. I am really excited that I have met several short term goals over the last few weeks. 1. I have made it to Twooterville 2. To weigh less than I did when I got married (275#) and as of this morning 3. To weigh less than my husband (260) Hoot! Hoot! My next short term is: 4. To weigh less than when I graduated high school (250#) I am also enjoying some NSVs. I am still off of all my pre-op meds (21), the fibromyalgia is doing great (small 2 day flare this week, 1st one since surgery) and I don't use the cane anymore and we walk a lot. I have bones sticking out every where; collar, wrist, ankle, shoulder, ribs, pelvis. It's great! My husband can wrap his arms all the way around my body and I can him too. Loving my new clothes (18/20) including a KNEE length skirt, form fitting shirts and tops and some heels. I can also CROSS MY LEGS! I haven't wore heels or crossed my legs in years. My hubby likes, but hey, he's liking a lot of things lately. I am really happy with the results I am seeing. I do still struggle on a daily basis though. Eating anything is still very difficult for me. I can hold about an ounce. I still get sick with every meal. My pre-op digestive issues did not improve as my doc had hoped. It can get very discouraging being so weak all of the time. I just keep holding out that my restriction will relax a little and let me get in some calories. Right now the weight loss is very exciting, but I do wonder if long term my body will ever be able to make it on such a tiny amount of sustenance. Anyhoo... Have a wonderful day everyone and HAPPY LOSING!! Check back in with y'all next month This photo is of me yeasterday at my kids school field day. I promised my friend's a pic of me at the blow up bounce house..hehe. - My 3 Month Surgiversary, Down 76# And Nsvs (Photo)
