    Need Help!

I have had acid attacks multiple times. It is a searing/ripping pain that goes from the sternum to the ribs and through to the back. Severe attacks also radiate to the shoulder, face and down the arm like with a heart attack. It is some of the worst pain imaginable and you Will think you are going to die. It brings on full blown panic attacks. You will never say, " this is just an acid attack," when you have them like this. They always mimic heart attacks and should never be taken lightly. This could mean your meds are not strong enough, you are getting gallbladder problems (I had to have mine removed), or it is an undiagnosed heart condition. This must be checked out. Dumping syndrome is where everything you eat runs straight through you. I have had it for 13 years, from not having a gallbladder. In my case it is caused from over-digestion. All of the excess bile dumps directly into my stomach. I can take one bite or drink and in two minutes have to hit the bathroom. I can't for the life of me figure out how someone that has had diarrhea up to 15 times a day for the last 13 years can be over weight. It takes a normal person 24 hours to take the same meal from top to bottom, it takes me 2-3. I just don't get it?

    Can We Talk About Underwear?

Girl, those are my favorite too! Great fit and they don't ride up. They are expensive though. I only buy them when they have their 5 for $25 sales.

    Delicious Mini Meatloaves

Try using a mini muffin pan to put the meat into. This will make portion controlled servings. Then they can be stored in a container in the fridge or frozen for later.

    So Frustrated And Angry

My original surgery date was for Dec. 6, but my insurance company is dragging their feet. My Dr. called and cancelled on me because they had to give the slots to people with letters in hand. I have been rescheduled for Feb. 14, but I am still waiting on my approval letter...so I know how you feel.
  10. My four year old opened EVERY single present under our tree this morning, today was the last day of school until Jan. 9 and my steroids have played out. Lord help me to have a hair left on my head by the time this is all over!

  11. Hi favoredone. Just checking in on you sweetie. Hope you are coming along well. Big(((hugs))) and congrats. Hope to be there with you soon :0)

  12. To get that acceptance letter and make it to surgery, no matter what!
  13. If you need them, take them. Just make sure it is because of a need and not just because everyone else is doing it. Some stomach acid is needed for digestion. If a person takes too much of an antacid, the food does not digest properly, but lays in the stomach and digestive tract and begins to rot. This can cause nausea, vomiting, foul belching and flatulence and inflammatory reactions (joints, skin, muscles). Over time, it is possible you may not need the pills. Just watch for signs of over use. If you get to the point that you never experience ANY symptoms of reflux you might want to skip it for a day or two to see if you actually still need it. Best of luck!
  14. I baked four dozen cookies for school teachers today and ended up eating three of them myself. Bad mama! I sure did do a good job though..lol. :0)

Time Of The Month? (sorry Guys)

Surgery in general can mess it up. I had my gallbladder out two weeks to the day before I got married. Mine came a week late that month and I was on the pill! I started the day before the wedding. Great!!
  16. Bought all the supplies for our Veggie Tales "8 Polish Christmas Dishes" party with my son's multi-needs handicapped class on Friday. We are going to have a blast with them :0)

    Gastric Sleeve Surgery Incision Question

I had my gallbladder out laperscopicly 13 years ago. One of my incisions gave me a great amount of worry. It pinched all the time. Even after the stitches were removed, it still felt that way probably for a year; then every once in a while for another year after that. It didn't stop until after I had my first baby. I think the stretching finally popped that bit of internal flesh loose that they had pinched when sewing my incision shut. It wasn't necessarily painful, just a nuisance. Maybe yours is just the sting of healing flesh * fingers crossed* best wishes :0)
  20. I have a Wii system. I love to do the Just Dance games. They are great. Before I got sick and down this year, I did one month of 45-60 min. X 5 days a week and lost 20 lbs. I also have the Gold's Gym Dance Workout. You can buy the Zumba. I have it on my wish list. My workouts are really limited right now because of knee, hip and shoulder injuries I got back in august. The good news is though, I am on steroid therapy now and it is responding marvelously! I am hoping by the time my surgery is here in Feb., I will be healing very nicely and can get my grove back on...lol.

  23. The Hubby and I went to the country auction tonight. I LOVE IT! ya just never know what you will leave with. Especially if you are me. Tonight I almost come home with an extra child. Sad, but true. We live in the Podunk South.

  24. I haven't had my VSG yet either, but I can relate to this. Women tell me that I look nice often now (316); but after my last baby I was at 267, a 68 lb loss, and men even commented. It felt very strange to have people that I have known for years whistle and cat call at me across a parking lot. It did help my self-confidence though. After four babies, a little whistle never hurts.
  25. Ugh...we all have the crud. It is awful. Half the people we know are sick. It seems to get worse every year. :0/
