Made Myself A List For Stuff To Have At Home After Surgery....
Take earplugs and an eyemask to shut out the hospital traffic. Even though I was in a private room it was like a bus station around my bed, as the nurses came in to change the IV and check my stats. Make sure your tummy pillow is firm and stretches widthways across most of the tum. I had snuggly socks as I was occasionally cold the first couple of days, and they were so comforting. You will do GREAT Jonathan!

Day 6 And Slightly Tired But Feeling Good.
Things are going smoothly, although I'm a bit tired and need to sleep quite often and am still stuck on my back like a turtle when I try to get out of bed in the morning. HOWEVER, I managed to sleep on my side last night- yay! I am drinking protein shakes (muscle milk this morning) and soup (butternut and sweet potato today), and thinned 0% fage yoghurt with splenda and vanilla essence added. 10 g of protein too! My cat is still not doing so great. They have increased her feeding, if I bring her home I will have to tube- feed her every 4 hours and I'm just not up to that right now, so I've asked the vet to keep her for a few more days.

Full Liquids Day 5
Today my surgeon cleared me for his version of "phase 2" which aded to clears, is fat free gravy, fat free yoghurt, sugar/fat free puddings, and later pureed potato, veg and labneh (a type of soft cheese here). So I had cram of muhroom soup, strained, with some ff yoghurt mixed in. OMG heaven! I was sick of clears! Now I'm trying to think of sneaky ways to add protein to all of this.

A Bit Tired Day 4
I'm not regretting anything funnily enough but I think I have a bit of cabin fever! I'm so glad others have experienced this, was starting to feel like a bit of a weeping wailer!

Read A Post About Loving Yourself First Before Anyone Else Can And It Irked Me!
I've had so many years of being the fat girl with the pretty face, or the chubby sidekick when I've been out with the girls- I SO hear ya Jonathan, when you are fat you are invisible. No matter how witty, charming, funny, or confident or intelligent you may be,or how much you love yourself, a huge portion of society "sees past" us in terms of dating. Being obese and single is WAY more difficult in our hyper-visual world.

Holidays And Winter.
Hang in there! Chicken bouillon soup? Can you make some healthy soup? I used to go waling around my Dad's place regardless, it was actually lovely to moving out in the Cape Town winter weather and I needed some fresh air at least twice a day and to get out of the house. Enoy your time with them!

Anyone Else Have A Surgery Date In July? Excited And Terrified!
- 4 Days Post-Op... What Speed Is Everyone Walking?
I am 4 days post op and only made it slowly and carefully round our small block and THAT was too much! Take it easy, you don't want to open up any internal sutures.- A Bit Tired Day 4
I'm a little bit tired today, doing all the right stuff- drinking as much as possible and am trying to drink 1 isopure clear a day diluted with water. I seem to have no problem drinking slowly. I didn't manage all of an isopure yesterday, but did the day before. It is what it is! I'm keeping hydrated. Today I am feeling good but a little tired and strangely emotional, I think I need to catch up on some sleep and so will take it easy today. One of my incisions is weeping a little, the smallest one. It is not angry or red, I cleaned it with a dettol solution & put another waterproof dressing on so perhaps this is normal as it doesn't hurt. I won't worry about it unless it gets swollen, red or painful. I'm quite PLEASANTLY surprised BY how low-key and uneventful my recovery is- which is great! Long may it last!!!- Weed Lol
My Mom used it a lot to offset the nausea of chemo, and the munchies helped her to get more nutrition in. I think she was calmer and happier too. I wouldn't want to get the munchies though :-O- Anyone Else Have A Surgery Date In July? Excited And Terrified!
- Ive Been Sleeved!
Surgery went well, they fixed a hernia too. I am healing pretty rapidly and apart from post-anesthetic nausea I have had no problems so far. A bit tired today so am going to sleep a lot. Taking it easy, walking, sipping.- Charley Horse Cramps

I'm doing really well letsdothis! Now I want to know how YOU are? We are all rooting for you xx- July Sleevers
So I am home and slept through the night in my own bed! SO GOOD! I'm drinking pretty well, haven't had any problems with that, and am having half isopure clear drinks and half water and I really don't mind them at all! The best was I had some Swansons clear chicken broth. Lovely! Unfortunately can't seem to find any more in the shops right now, oh well my clear liquids is only til Sunday. So I am at home reading, watching videos and sipping, walking and using the blowy respirator exerciser thing. Doing good, sore tum, but bearable. Tapping on my iPhone so can't see who is sleeved soon on my list, but GOOD LUCK! It will be fine!- Sleeved July 2Nd - My Story
I'm so happy for you sleeve sister! I can't get unjury here and they won't allow foodstuffs to be imported through the mail but I find the isopure stuff fine when diluted half-n-half with water. I'm also drinking swansons chicken broth which is lovely. I can't get over the price of the nexium! Wow! I'm on something called Lanzor. Take it easy, walk-n-sip! Xxx- Prescribed An Nsaid
Thanks for all the replies, yes it was prescribed by my surgeon to take at home after being on pethidine shots in hospital for pain. I wasquite nervous taking it last night, but no ill effects so far and this morning I took my PPI, waited an hour, then took it. it seems to be okay but it doesn't exactly go down well- lots of burpy bubbles. - 4 Days Post-Op...
