  1. I confess I've had chocolate quite a few times, usually a PMT backlash.

I confess that when a couple of male colleagues have complimented me and flirted I have been covered in confusion- it's been so long since a member of the opposite sex has shown interest that I'm totally bewildered by it.

I confess that the "this may be inappropriate etc " thread makes me laugh out loud, mainly because I have cobwebs where others don't lol.

I confess that watching people pig out makes me nauseous.

I confess I had no idea that losing this much weight would be such an emotional journey.

I confess that I like being able to step out in my new stilettos.

  2. Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary and I'm really happy I did this. I know some have had bad experiences and I really feel for them, but I am happily one of the plain-sailing ones. I had minimal discomfort after surgery,no gas pain and not much stiffness. The only thing that wasn't so great was feeling faint after the leak test. My recovery was slow and steady and I healed really quickly. My scars are very faint and Ive never had nausea or pain from my sleeve- I really concentrated on liquids and Protein in the first 8 weeks and did steady exercise and followed the Docs advice. My WL has been pretty steady and although I've lost hair, it is not that noticeable. Of course I have head hunger and slider food days but they are rare and for the most part I eat little and healthily. I love my sleeve!

  3. Hi I'm looking to find a good yogurt that's sugar free or some with very little if any surgery that's recommended by your nutritionist after surgery

Chobani or Fage plain yoghurt both have lots of Protein and are low fat. You can always add Splenda, vanilla essence or whatever you choose to it.

  4. Am scheduled for surgery on December 13 with Dr. Al Taie (decided to change surgeons after meeting with Smoggy and' date=' then, consulting with him directly. Three incisions and one drain tube are a lot better than five and two respectively, and, besides, he doesn't require a preoperative diet B) ).

Congratulations on the continued weight loss Smoggy. I thought you looked great when we met three weeks ago.[/quote']

Hi Mason, well I'm still not quite there- an inspector at work asked me if I was pregnant today! Lol - she was horrified when I said no!

I'm sure all will go well on the 13th, will pass that onto our mutual friend who has now decided on Al Noor too. ...

  5. Are you not working?hehehe!

Im stalling but am down 105.3 now.Still drinking too much milk every day' date='in the tea.Playing squash twice a week, pilates reformer twice a week and still wobble like a jelly fish!

My hair seems to have stopped falling out,or less at least but I cannot see new growth.Am looking with a magnifier and no,there's nothing! What's up with that?

I wish i did my surgery with dr.Faruq so I could have gone to his support group.Need more contact with fellow losers..lol

Hows the eating going at work?

    xxo[/quote']

Lol - I was off school with a bug!

Wow you are going GREAT! I would love to see you!

Eating at work is fine - I wangled it so I don't have duties over lunch. Only problem is the kids must think I need fattening up or something- they keep bringing me treats like cupcakes and donuts. Mostly I pass them on but occasionally they do get past my lips!

    Will call soon :)

  6. I confess:

    - I drink alcohol almost every weekend when I go out' date=' even though my Dr. told me to wait a year. I did however, completely give up beer.

    - I started with the caffiene again. Yet this time I am going with tea and one splenda rather than a venti nonfat latte.

    - I had dumping syndrome twice and it was my own damn fault.

    - I sometimes eat badly, i.e I will sneak a halloween candy or eat one slice of pizza

    - My workouts are inconsistent. One week I will go 3-5 times and the next week 0-1

    - I just started dating and I can't decide whether I want to disclose about my surgery up front or leave it a mystery[/quote']

I confess I also have drunk alcohol several times and I'm not thinking of stopping. Twice a month is my lot though.

I confess I just started dating too, and the disclosure thing is something I'm quite unsure of...

I confess my exercise regime has gone out the window.

I confess I love buying smaller clothes and now actually smaller shoes too.

  7. I absolutely love reading books about weight loss success. Listed below are some of my favorite's so far.

    * Jemima J By: Jane Green

    * The Perfect Fit. By: Louise Kean

    * Your Big Break By: Johanna Edwards

    * Good in Bed. By: Jennifer Weiner

I would love for others to share some inspirational reading. I will add some others as well.

    These sound great! Thanks!

  8. Thank you DesertMom for your kind reply. It's good to know I was given a fair price. I’m always concerned about receiving an expat surcharge.

I think laparoscopic surgeons in the UAE are sensitive to the fact that the fee for this procedure is dropping in the United States and' date=' of course, one can have it done for less than 5,000 just south of the Texas border.

My biggest concern now is with Asia’s severe phobia of opiates in regard to pain management. I went to the dentist last month at Al Noor Hospital with an abscessed wisdom tooth. My jaw was swollen to twice its normal size. The earliest appointment he could give me was 17 days away. His solution for my pain was Ibuprofen and Panadol. I almost fell off my chair in disbelief! Fortunately, I had some Percocet (5mg tabs Oxycodone) left over from another extraction I had performed in the States two months earlier.

I discussed this concern with my surgeon. They use an IV-drip of a synthetic opiate for pain relief called Tramadol (better known as Ultram in the States), which is considered less potent than Tylenol #3 (with codeine). He claims that this solution will be more than sufficient to manage the post-operative pain. I hope he’s right.

    Thanks again![/quote']

Hi Mason - I found the pain stuff that they gave me at Al Noor was fine, and the hospital was great - spacious room, and QUIET and one of the Fillipina nurses was a total star. I made myself walk walk walk around that darn ward as often as possible, and had nil gas pain.

  9. I confess that I really miss my "girls" being bigger already

I confess that some days I'm just plain lazy and don't do any exercise

I confess that I'm looking forward to trying nookie again what with all the comments about how it gets better

I confess that I could murder a glass of wine

I confess that I'm definitely one of those with oestrogen issues as I've become a complete sap
