    Holidays And Winter.

Hang in there! Chicken bouillon soup? Can you make some healthy soup? I used to go waling around my Dad's place regardless, it was actually lovely to moving out in the Cape Town winter weather and I needed some fresh air at least twice a day and to get out of the house. Enoy your time with them!
  3. I am 4 days post op and only made it slowly and carefully round our small block and THAT was too much! Take it easy, you don't want to open up any internal sutures.
  4. Am typing this from my hospiital bed, my surgery was about 12 hours ago. I was in a bit of pain with nausea but they have me on some meds for that. One incision is noticeably more sore and I feel Like I've been punched in the tummy and bruised. Other than that it is nowhere near as painful as I thought it would be. I'm finally on the losers bench!
  5. Good to be home, but tired today.

    Weed Lol

My Mom used it a lot to offset the nausea of chemo, and the munchies helped her to get more nutrition in. I think she was calmer and happier too. I wouldn't want to get the munchies though :-O

    Ive Been Sleeved!

Surgery went well, they fixed a hernia too. I am healing pretty rapidly and apart from post-anesthetic nausea I have had no problems so far. A bit tired today so am going to sleep a lot. Taking it easy, walking, sipping.
  8. I am wondering if anyone here is experiencing night-cramps or maybe even cramp during the day after being sleeved? I have had problems with terrible calf-muscle cramps waking me in the middle of the night for quite a few years. They are utterly agonising and once I discovered that I had actually pulled my calf muscle quite badly and was hobbling about for some time. I have tried all sorts of things, drinking more Water and upping minerals like magnesium- I'm not entirely sure what works as I usually try several things at once out of desperation- and sometimes they fade away after a few days. I have read about a few people getting these for the first time after being sleeved because of deficiencies they may not be aware of, and I'm quite scared that after I'm sleeved that this will get worse with me. Anyone been in this position and have any remedies?

    July Sleevers

So I am home and slept through the night in my own bed! SO GOOD! I'm drinking pretty well, haven't had any problems with that, and am having half isopure clear drinks and half water and I really don't mind them at all! The best was I had some Swansons clear chicken broth. Lovely! Unfortunately can't seem to find any more in the shops right now, oh well my clear liquids is only til Sunday. So I am at home reading, watching videos and sipping, walking and using the blowy respirator exerciser thing. Doing good, sore tum, but bearable. Tapping on my iPhone so can't see who is sleeved soon on my list, but GOOD LUCK! It will be fine!
  11. I'm so happy for you sleeve sister! I can't get unjury here and they won't allow foodstuffs to be imported through the mail but I find the isopure stuff fine when diluted half-n-half with water. I'm also drinking swansons chicken broth which is lovely. I can't get over the price of the nexium! Wow! I'm on something called Lanzor. Take it easy, walk-n-sip! Xxx
  12. Thanks for all the replies, yes it was prescribed by my surgeon to take at home after being on pethidine shots in hospital for pain. I wasquite nervous taking it last night, but no ill effects so far and this morning I took my PPI, waited an hour, then took it. it seems to be okay but it doesn't exactly go down well- lots of burpy bubbles.
  13. My doc has prescribed Brufen in suspension, and it is an NSAID. this freaks me out a little having seen many of you post that you are absolutely not allowed these. Anyone else in my boat?

    Sleeved And Home!

So I'm home, my sleeve is done and I am walking and sipping and doing all the right things. It is sore, ut owhere near as painful as expected and I'm getting noticeably better every day. Imaging feeling like you've just done heaps and heaps of ab exercises- that is how I feel today 3 days out.Cat still sick, but can't deal with that until I'm stronger. It will be interesting to see how I manage on my own now, will keep you all posted. Off for a nap in my OWN bed! YAY!
