  1. I started my mushies phase yesterday and I just am confused about how much I should be eating at one sitting. I had cream of potato soup with cheese added for "lunch" and then had it again for "dinner" both times about 1/2 - 3/4 cup. I had a greek yogurt for breakfast. and just water to drink throughout the day.... There is NO WAY this is enough calories for a day. So how MUCH and how OFTEN should I be eating my mushies???
  2. chewable? Is that the only one you take?
  3. I need to start taking a multi-vitamin.. which one do you use?
  4. Ok., I was reading another post about people finding out their ports had flipped. Is this something that happens to a lot of people?? or is it rare? I didn't know it could happen.
  5. also I hate the FAKE sugar taste.... so I will probably just get the regular ones
  6. My surgery was monday oct. 24th. Last night my growling tummy actually turned in to TRUE hunger pains. So I had a few ounces of a strawberry milkshake and that did the trick! I am having a very hard time with the protein shakes so I get no help from that. I JUST now had an ounce or two of cream of chicken soup made with milk. It was ok...I was feeling really weak and needed something. Other than that I've just been having water, yogurt smoothies(the little kid kind) and chicken broth..I think I will try popcicles. In desperate need of something different!!
  7. Before I had my surgery I had a cough left over from a sinus infection... well since the surgery it has gone away...until tonight! I've been coughing A LOT! is this going to hurt my lapband? Will it cause it to slip or something? I'm kinda worried about it.
  8. Thank you for this reply..I was actually getting on here to post something about burping and how much it hurts and if that was normal. I too am 3 days post op!! I'm getting really tired of the Clear liquids tho... and my Protein shakes make me want to vomit! Chocholate milk is about the best thing I've had so far.. I figured I could use the extra calories since i can't get the Protein drinks down.
  9. What should I do if I cannot stand the taste of the protein shakes?? Is there something I can add to liquids that is flavorless??? My surgery is tomorrow and I am about to go and get all of my after surgery items from the grocery store. Any suggestions????
  10. So glad to hear this! And that you are doing well! It's funny but I am actually looking forward to the post-op diet because the pre-op diet is SO HARD! Does that make sense?
  11. actually yes! I mean I would drink one regular pepsi everyday! And I was wondering if that could be the problem... thanks for the suggestion!
  12. Hi October bandsters!! My surgery is Monday! My pr-op diet hasn't been TOO bad! I was supposed to have 2 lite meals and 2 protein shakes each day for a week. But, I CANNOT stand the protein shakes and I was REALLY HUNGRY.. so I called my doc and they said I could add as many of the fresh or steamed veggies as I wanted. THANK GOD! I also have been eating greek yogurt, which has double the protein of regular yogurt and it's non fat. Dannon greek is pretty good. What types of liquids is everyone having or planning to have POST-OP??
  13. Am I supposed to be taking advil in the days leading up to my surgery? The pre-op diet gives me such bad headachs and that is the only thing that takes the headaches away.
  14. Hello, My surgery is MONDAY Oct. 24th!!! I'm totally excited and nervous at the same time! I can't wait to start dropping the pounds!
