    My New Full Signal

I have a living disposal -- My Dog! Hee Hee! Seriously though, my signal is one small belch. I get shocked sometimes by the little it takes. So either I package it to sit in the fridge, throw it in the trash, or give it to my dog. I'm careful to monitor the amount I give him, so I don't make it a daily habit.
  2. Yay! The 2 week stall has been broken!! I dropped 2lbs!!!

  3. I have a huge craving for mashed potatoes or steak fries. Of course I'm not going to give in....but darn it!

    What Is Best Peanut Butter?

I do not like "natural" peanut butter. I absolutely love Peter Pan creamy whipped peanut butter. I haven't had any since the surgery, but it does stare at me when I open the pantry.

    Post-Surgical Diet: Torture.

Have you tried powerade? The most important thing right now is for you to stay hydrated.

    How Many Stalls?

Scary isn't it? I haven't lost anything in two weeks. And sorry, an ounce is an ounce. Fat and muscle weigh the same. We'll just have to fight through this.

    Its Your Period Dummy!

I've been on my cycle for the last three weeks. :banghead: It started a week before surgery, stopped a full week after surgery, then gave me a break for a week and a half.
  8. It's been two weeks and I haven't had one stich of weightloss. I'm only a month and a half out. Initially I wasn't worried, but now this is causing concern.

    The First Post! :)

Hello! I'm smack between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I was sleeved in Mexico. I am about a month and a half post-op. I love to play softball and am looking into joining the local gym.

    I Have A Leak!

I'm praying for you! I know that this has been a difficult journey for you.
  11. I'm sorry that you are feeling ill. Based on your ticker, you are doing extremely well in the weightloss arena. How much Water are you taking in? I'm guessing that you may be slightly dehydrated..... Otherwise, place a call into the nurse line for your insurance company or call your doctor's office. At this point, we could only speculate.

Could I Be Added On To A Relatives Insurance?

To mimick what the others have said, in order for your aunt to be considered your guardian, she must receive a court order designating you as her dependent. Also, if you are older than 26, it is a useless battle.
  13. I just want to say that I love Dr. Kelly and Trish + her team. They still contact me every other week. I had surgery at Florence. I'm not going to advocate in this topic, so if you want to know about my experience with Dr. Kelly, Trish and her team, and the fear other coordinators put in me -- inbox me.

    Happy for you girlie!

    Why didn't you just listen

I started out interested in LB also. I was fortunate enough to know a LB recipient and was able to pick her brain. I also researched via support groups. Some of the horror stories were too much for me and I noticed that they'd always revise to VSG so I figured I'd cut to the chase and get VSG (of course I did more research tho).
  16. I am soooooooooo grateful for this particular post. I get 400-600 cals a day and thought it was a bit too low. But I'm glad to know that others experience this as well. I focus on Protein (I couldn't stand the taste of Protein drinks post-op) and experimenting with new recipes that are within my comfort zone (I'm not much of an explorer when it comes to new foods). I've been stalled for the last week and a half, but haven't freaked yet because you wonderful people warned me ahead of time. I meet with my PCP mid-February and hope that my nutrition efforts have been worthwhile. I'm not the type to work well with a regiment of Vitamins and pills -- I ALWAYS FORGET THOSE DARN THINGS!!! I know that I'm kinda all of the place with this post, but I am so happy to see your responses.
  17. Wow.....I'm in a serious stall and am definitely struggling to get past 600 calories most days. My short term goal is 800 calories. I don't know how you guys can eat so much.

    Carbs Debate

How much is considered low carb? What are some common foods that are high in carbs?

    Craving Pizza?

I use a whole wheat tortilla, bake it in the oven for a few minutes until it's slightly crisp. I then put marinara sauce, shredded cheese, mini pepperoni, and veggies on it. I then bake until the cheese is melted. I slice in 4ths, eat one slice, then fridge for later. I put it bake in the oven to reheat.

    Drinking While Eating

LOL......calm down......I consider this a support group, but if you don't believe in anything someone has said then there is a special website called Google that can help you find the answer.

    Keeping Food Down

It's a struggle everyday to learn your body. The texture and makeup of the food we choose can affect the "full" feeling. Personally, I can only eat two tablespoons of pudding. So, I would probably space my meals out a bit more?
  23. Yep......I'm stalled. But then again, AF has been here for the last week and a half. No telling when she'll be exiting the building.

    Cereal

So I'm in the pureed/blended stage and I'm aware that I can eat hot cereals. But, can I eat cold cereals? I'd like to soak regular Cereal in milk until it becomes mushy. I was afraid that it was a bit too much like eating soaked bread. I don't want it to expand in my stomach, but as you know regular cereal is already expanded when it's soaked in milk. Maybe I'm over-thinking this a bit too much, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Any suggestions?
