    Hi everyone!
I posted quite a while ago, but just wanted to give an update. I'm 5'1.5'' and started at 264lbs. My surgery was on 6/12 and I'm am now down 59lbs!! Can't wait to get under 200 and into "Onederland!" My weight loss has really slowed lately and I've had several weeks of plateaus (which are NO fun!). I'm ramping up my exercise and working with a trainer, so I think that will help. I've also slacked off a bit on counting my daily Protein intake so I need to get back on that as well. However, I do find if the scale is not moving for me my inches are!
I am SO happy to have my sleeve. Having this surgery was THE best decision that I've made.
Best wishes to all of my "short sisters!"

I'm 5'1" and some change and at goal. I might have something to add here if anyone has questions.
I had surgery at 242 pounds and a very snug 18/20 and am now maintaining between 133-137 pretty easily. Most of my clothes are size 6 or small. I had hoped for a smaller goal weight, actually, but it's just not going to happen. I'll need plastics eventually and that will easily take that last ten pounds off for me. It's not that I really feel I need to lose more weight, either, it's just that the BMI chart really sucks and my doctor still kinda nags about me being so close to the overweight line.
Anyway, hello to everyone! It seems like the majority of the folks here were just recently sleeved or are awaiting surgery.

Edited to add pictures. Everyone loves pictures, right?

I just got this recipe in an email (many others of you probably did as well). This sounds really yummy and I imagine that you could use any Protein Powder mix as well.

I had gastric sleeve surgery and so far I've lost 100 pounds, I love it!!! = D.
I had my surgery with Dr. Francisco Gonzalez in Tijuana Mexico. He was great since the start when I first called him and he took the time to explain different surgery options and answer all my questions. He told me to call Mario at MexMedTours.com to help me out with my travel, transportation and accommodation needs and he also gave me a great service. I could not have done it without them. Plus they have been kept in touch after the procedure to check on my progress and answer questions that I have, which is great.

When I started looking at my options I was totally lost. After speaking with Dr. Gonzalez I realized that this was a good option, after some online research I found out that he had good reviews, plus I talked to some references he gave me and they all liked the experience of having their surgeries with him.

I just wanted to post this out there because I know how hard it is to find a good doctor, I've been there and I wanted to help both patients that are looking to have a weight loss surgery done and also Dr. Gonzalez which he literally changed my life for the best.

I had one sometime in the middle of the second month, though I probably could have had one earlier given all the other "normal" type foods that I had been having before that. I have evolved into having the Quest bars when I have one as they have one of the best Protein per calorie ratios out there, I like several of their varieties, they have little or no sugar alcohols in them (depending on variety - many people have problems with sugar alcohols), and they have a lot of Fiber which most of us can use.

The only ones I tolerate are Premier Protein (Sams and costco sell them) and the Clif bars. I have to watch myself with the clif bars, though, because they are higher in calories and lower in Protein, but they taste so good that I've made them a once a day treat.

I started eating Protein bars as soon as I was back on solid food. They are VERY dense, so chew well, eat slowly and don't be afraid to wrap one up and eat the rest later.

    Hey everyone,
My first oncology appointment is on Wednesday. Wish me luck!! Hopefully I'm cancer free! I don't even know if they can tell me that, but after removing the tumor I hope everything is just fine and I can breathe again! Staying positive for my daughter, but some days are harder than others.
On a lighter note, should hear from the surgeon this week with my insurance approval, going to double check with the oncologist about getting sleeved, but since the other doctors and my surgeon Dr. Looser already sad it was fine I'm feeling confident that I will be sleeved soon!!!!
Thank you everyone for all your love, prayers, support, means the word to me!
Have a wonderful Monday and remember to smile and appreciate everyday!

All of your prayers have been heard. Thank you so much. So here's the results...
We are lucky to find out that from what they could see on my stomach and pancreas it's looking like it was only the one tumor which has now been removed. I will follow up next week by swallowing a little pill that is actually a camera and will confirm whether or not the is anymore throught my whole digestive track.
Then I meet with the oncologist in Boston and will see what happens which all the bloodwork and tests I will have. then I just follow p every 6 months to make sure noting has grown back.
I am so incredibly happy and grateful thank for all the love and prayers!!! You guys rock!!!!!

What an overwhelming response. Thank you all, each one of you. All these positive words are touching my heart and easing the pain. I haven't told many people, that was kind of why I vented here, but also in search of anyone who's been through this. I will fight his, for my daughter and soon to be husband. They are the best part of my life and I'm not going down without a battle. My procedure is at noon tomorrow, please just pray for me. God will hear us, and I need him to.
