  1. It's totally normal. Your body is reacting to fast weight loss. Biotin really does work.
  2. I was banded on the 28th. When can you start mushies?
  3. How many days post op are you? I found it got easier after 4 days.
  4. I think most people are going to tell you to follow your post op diet. I understand COMPLETELY how much it sucks. I am not really eating a lot, the band is working, but I want solids!!! I was banded just a few days before you. It's important to let your body heal. You may feel good, I do, but you have no idea about your insides. There are stitches and stuff you don't want to mess up. Do I think the ricotta is going to kill you? No, and neither is the one TINY bite of my husbands pizza I had and chewed the crap out of last night. But I want everything to heal and my body to be ready to lose weight. Even though you can drink fast, just be careful. Give it time to go through the band into the rest of your stomach.
  5. I am sorry it's been hard. Sounds like you hit a plateau. It happens in all weightloss. If you gained several pounds overnight, that's most likely water weight. I am sur you know it takes 3500 calories for one pound. I highly doubt you consumed an extra ten thousand calories in one day. If you keep on plan, you will wake up one morning with a swoosh!
  6. Thanks! The unjury I have now is chocolate and it's really great tasting, but I can't get past the smell. If it smelled like chocolate milk, it would be ok.
  7. I did try that today, still smell. I seriously have the smell receptors of a drug dog. RIDICULOUS. Good idea with the orange. I read online to try orange juice with the unflavored, but that seems like alot of sugar. I dunno.
  8. OK so I will eventually not have to drink this crap.
  9. I am ok if it's something familiar, but if it's vitaminey or something else foreign, I can't do it.
  10. OK seriously, I can't find any I like. I have the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and the taste is great, but the smell is horrible. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to smells. Like seriously, I should be studied. It's that bad. Smell determines EVERYTHING for me, even my mood. I know I am weird. All of these Protein shakes have that protein smell or whatever it is and I can't stand it. The smell makes me nauseous. I almost threw up earlier, not because I was drinking too fast or had the wrong thing, but because of the smell. I am still nauseous from it. Honestly, if this is how this is going to be, I have to find an alternative to these Protein Shakes. I understand the importance of protein, but is there any way around this? Ive spent a lot of money trying different kinds and can't find anything. I even spent $70 on unflavored so I could put it in food. I can still smell it!!! Help!!!!
  11. I have had the band a week so take what I can purely from research and NOT experience. But do you have restriction? If not, get a fill. Stay away from slider foods and track what you eat. I don't think you need to deprive yourself, but count those calories and make sure you have restriction. That's what the band is for, to help you not overeat. But it can't keep you from slider foods. Good luck!
  12. I doubt it will cause a problem either. THey will probably give you antibiotics afterwards anyway so that should help that.
  13. Yeah I remember the dr did tell me that he fills it all the way to check for leaks and then when he drains it he always leaves about 2cc. I forgot about that.
  14. I haven't been eating when I get up because I've never been a morning water. But I know I need to. This morning I tried to eat and had maybe 4 bites and I am full. I hear a lot of people say you have more restriction in the morning. I haven't had a fill so is that possible? I am not complaining one bit, but I am one of those people who likes to know how and why things work.
  15. I hope I don't sound snarky, because I'm not I just really want to know. Why did you get the band if you are just following a low carb diet? If you could do it now, why couldn't you without a band. Is it that the band helps you eat less of the low carb foods and that doubled with low carbs helps you lose?
  16. If you can tolerate them, these foods are fine. The band isn't about another fad diet. It's about learning to eat less and in moderation. All that to say if your band won't allow those things you will have to cut them out. Bread and pasta didn't make me fat. Eating 12 servings per meal did,
  17. You need to call your dr. Mine told me (banded 10/28) that if I went above 100 point something to call immediately.
  18. Where they put my port in Is like a crater. Like its all sunken in. Is that normal? You can see it through my shirt.
  19. I don't see my doctor again. I was banded 9 hours away. I am getting my fills at a fill clinic here. The doc said I could call anytime and I am still in their program, just online, Skype and phone.
  20. I am seriously amazed right now. I've never eaten that little of food and been this FULL. It feels like I ate a TON.
  21. I feel like this is probably what restriction feels like when you eat too much, but I know my body needs some more healing too though.
  22. My nutritionist said I could add thinned grits today. First of all, I don't think they were thin enough. I only ate a cup like directed, but I think it was too much. I don't have pain per se, but it's uncomfortble. I feel like I need to burp, but I can't. Am I going to mess something up!? I am freaking out!!!
  23. How did your band slip?
  24. Nope they didn't do one until after they took the breathing tube out and I couldn't breath lol. That's where they saw the partial collaspe. I had, had a cold for a couple of weeks.
