  1. Mimi, have you always been sensitive to fills? When they start refilling you, you may not want to do the full 5ccs. Since you are having issues, and I am sure the doctor wants you to be successful and happy, ask if they can do it more gradual and work out the fees (if you are having to pay for them now). If you can go maybe every two weeks and get less each time (maybe start with 3 or 4). When you finally reach 5ccs. have them do maybe .25 at a time. Please ask and see. It can't hurt to ask. I hate to see you suffer like this, when there may be a way to fix it.
  2. Yeah, I have my concerns as well. It seems as if they will have to leave out pivotal parts of the last book/movie, because they can't be tied in, because the background events were left out in THIS movie.... I just hope because it will be in two parts, they find some way to salvage it.:scared2:
  3. Uh, excuse me... Shape-ups for $68:ohmy: Do you happen to know where? I am really wanting a pair of those!!!!
  4. I understand. I hated Protein Shakes and refused to drink them. I used the protein bullets, because they were only 3 oz each so it was easy to get them down. I know it feels difficult now, but the sooner you can move to full liquids the better you will begin to feel.
  5. Eat? What are you trying to eat 6 days post op, or do you mean Protein drinks?
  6. You may have some restriction from having the band placed. Sucks right now, but better for you in the long run. I was like that and I didn't feel well until I moved to full liquids. Your body is literally starving right now and when you go an extended period of time with only Clear Liquids you will become nauseous. I had a tooth extracted yesterday and didn't consume anything but Water for 18 hours and was about to vomit in my car today. I got home, took my nausea medicine, took a 2 hour nap, woke up, ate and now I feel fine. If it is time for you to move to full liquids, then do so, the nausea will subside. I hurt for over a week after my surgery and couldn't even get out of bed unassisted for 4-5 days. It takes people different amounts of time to recover. You will, however begin to feel a little better each day after you move to full liquids and then on to mushies when it is time. You body is trying to heal right now. If you think you are experiencing other than your body healing and being hungry, call your surgeon.
  7. Yeah, you really shouldn't get pregnant that soon. My friend had NEVER ovulated like she was supposed to and tried for two years before conceiving her first and tried for 3 before conceiving the twins. Each pregnancy required rounds of fertility drugs. She REALLY had no idea she could get pregnant on her own. This was definitely a surprise pregnancy. Poor thing, her twins will be 1 1/2 yrs old when this baby is born!
  8. chrystinaw, congratulations on your decision to be banded and with your upcoming surgery. You must be really excited. I ran upon this post by accident yesterday from the main forum. I just read you original post and wanted to assure you that this may possible be the answer to your baby prayers. My close friend was banded two weeks before me. She always thought she was "infertile". She had two pregnancies but she was on fertility drugs for both. When she was banded last July, she had a 5 year old son and 6 month old twins. She lost 40 lbs and began ovulating without realizing it! She found out she was pregnant again around Christmas. She is stunned and is due in September. She isn't having problems with her band during her pregnancy and she is doing great. Really, though, I think ideally, doctors want people to wait a year after being banded before becoming pregnant. Again, good luck on Monday!
  9. Unless you are going to have someone drive you to school, you really can't go. I pretty sure you aren't cleared for driving because of the anesthetic in your system from the surgery the day before. Even is someone is driving you, you probably won't feel like it.
  10. Erin, unless you are getting sick now, the full liquids shouldn't make you sick. I was so ready for my full liquids. I really enjoyed the cream of chicken soup. I added a little pepper, sage and garlic powder to it and the taste was really good. You should be fine and will probably start to actually feel better once you begin getting more calories in your system. Good luck and enjoy your full liquids!
  11. I would suggest going with the smaller size, but you will probably need a bigger cup size. I went from a 44DDD to a 40G in the same exact bra, because my band size dropped, but my actual breast size remained the same. So, unless you buy the actual size you need right now, it may not fit you correctly anyway. Good luck!
  12. Some people do return to work that quickly, but I know that I would not have been ready. I wasn't ready for at least a week. It will depend on what type of work you do and how you feel.

WOW! He really wanted to get his message across!
  14. I LOVE my spicy foods. I use tobasco sauce on my red beans! I think you can probably have it as soon as it is possible. When I started mushies I ate hot sauce on my refried beans. But like the previous poster said, don't forget you aren't supposed to drink!
  15. I am glad to hear your surgery went well. Be sure to take you pain med IF you need it, and walk as much as possible to get the gas moving!
  16. I think of it when you get satisfied with a cup or a little less of food, can eat healthy choices without pbing, are losing weight, and are NOT hungry between meals (satisfied for at least 4 hours).
  17. Different antidepressants affect people differently. I am not currently taking anything and haven't in probably 3 years, but 5 years ago, I was on Zoloft for about 4 months. I put on 25lbs without eating more. I told my doctor that I didn't think gaining the 25 lbs was good for my mood in the long run, so I switched to Welbutrin, actually lost a little weight, and it helped my depression.
  18. I journaled after I posted. I did not get my Protein in for the day, or calories, really. I had a dental appt where I had two fillings, an extraction and an impression made, so my mouth is on strike right now. Hopefully tomorrow I will do better, but I will journal regardless. Yes, Kristine, our Louisiana summers are a killer. I usually pack a sandwich on whole wheat toast ( peppered turkey or ham). I eat half for Breakfast and the other half for lunch. Some days I only eat the Campbells Soup at hand for lunch, but that won't help you if you don't have access to a microwave. I also eat the Kelloggs, protein added chewy bars for a snack. I like the Peanut Butter chocolate chip. My menu is normally very boring, but it worked for me during the school year. If you pack a sandwich, eat it before the heat kills it. It seems like Tuesday is your only REALLY bad day. If you like the chewy bars keep a box handy. You can always pull one out and eat it if you are ready to gnaw off a hand. I keep a couple of boxes in my desk drawer for the random hungry teacher.
  19. I am going through the same thing. I haven't journaled in a month, and I PREACH about journaling to people all the time. I am a big, still fat, hypocrite. I am going to journal again and give it a month. If I don't start dropping again, I will sign up for WW online (broke right now ). I am going to follow the thread and cheer you all on, no matter what. Good luck!!!!! Lillyanne, you quit sugar cold turkey, so I will stop my Target freshly popped popcorn right now!!!!
  20. I saw Funny People last weekend. I was really looking forward to it and was very disappointed. I give it a 3/5 but would not pay to see it again.

Nope. Both he and my daughter befriended "Michael", whoever that may be. From around 18 months to age 3 or so, they both had an "imaginary" friend named Michael. Neither played with him together, but each had the friend around the same age. They are 2 1/2 years apart, so that explains why he was their friend at different times.
  22. What I eat varies, normally. In the morning I may eat a fried egg, because for some unknown reason, scrambled eggs don't work well for me. Many times I will get a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit and eat 1/2 of it. I am a teacher and don't have much time for lunch, so I drink a Campbell's Soup at hand, and then a couple hours later I will eat a Protein added chewy bar. dinner is whatever we cook...spaghetti, pastalya, red Beans, grilled chicken, jambalaya, pork chops, pizza...I think you get the idea. Also, most days I drink my modified Starbucks drink. I have reduced the pumps of mocha and it has 220 calories and 17 grams of protein in my venti drink. I consume at least 60 g of protein a day and consume normallly 1200-1500 calories per day. Main point, I am not so restricted that there are a lot of foods that are off limits. I just eat a lot less of the foods than I used to.
  23. You may not want to hear this, but you may still be a little too tight if you were having a lot of sliming issues. You may want to consider having a very small unfill, maybe .25cc. If you are exercising you may want to try to up your calorie intake maybe every third day up to 1000. Your metabolism may need to be shocked into firing up again. If you were having sliming issues, what foods are typical for you to eat each day?

Beth, I don't normally get that sensation, but that is cool. I very often will feel someone sit on the bed, turn around and there is no one there. It used to freak me out, but then I got used to it. My kids and I experience sensing someone walk past in our hallway, but then no one is there. We aren't scared of it. It definitely doesn't seem scary in anyway. My brothers and I, however, have always been scared of the "hamburgler" incidents from our childhood.
  25. I will tell you there is hope for this (banding) to help. My friend had to take fertility drugs for both of her pregnancies. She was infertile at the time. When she was banded two weeks before me last year her son was 5 and she had twins that were 6 months old. After she lost a little over 40 lbs, she found out she was pregnant at Christmas. She is due next month! She was stunned at the news and definitely never expected this.
