  8. @ Larraine...I've never measured my food before but I am willing to try it. So is everything I eat supposed to be 4 oz or under? @ Sage Tracey - I have heard that too about not eating enough but seems so strange that I actually need to eat more to lose weight - hard for me to wrap my mind around. I usually eat 2 pieces of turkey bacon, 1 egg for breakfast. Baked ckn and veggies for lunch, and tuna salad or ckn again for dinner. For snacks I eat string cheese or sugar free popsicles. I'm trying to make myself drink the protein shakes now for breakfast even though they are pretty gross. Thank u both so much for the tips
  9. I was banded Oct. 4th and have lost 89lbs so far which I'm so excited about! However now the wt loss has pretty much just stopped. I joined a gym 3 weeks ago to try to get it moving again and go every morning for an hour - usually doing the tread and stair master. I average about 800 calories a day but am still not losing. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have 64lbs to go to reach my goal and I want it so bad. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  10. Thank you so much. I just havnet seen anyone mention the sternum or spasms on the message board so i started to get worried that something was really wrong. And I will try to walk more.
  11. I had my surgery 6 days ago and my shoulder is killing me. Ive tried walking, heating pad, and hot shower but it doesnt seem to be getting any better and when I move around to much i get nauseas - already refilled my meds 2x. Also Ive been having what feels like spasms where the lap band is - has anyone else had this? How long until it goes away? I was planning on going back to work tomorrow but now I'm not sure if I can.
  12. I had surgery on 5 days ago on Oct. 4th and Im having a really hard time. The first few days I had a lot of pain from the gas and a lot of nausea but what concerns me most are the spasms I'm having around my band area. They come and go all day long - when im sitting, talking, walking - various times. I've only had tea and water the past 5 days at room tempature like the doctor recomended but I'm becoming very depressed. All the info on-line suggest I should be feeling better by now but the spasms and tightness are really painful and I've spent most of the past 2 days crying and regretting my decision to have the surgery. I spoke to the nurse and she assured me that this will pass but some of the info i read on-line made it sound like they wouldnt. Has anyone else had this problem? Im feeling really hopeless right now.
