On Q Ball Removal.. Did It Hurt?

I wish I would have left mine in a little longer too, I had a hernia repair & they had it right between & below my breasts. They told me to take it out the day after I got home, but it was not empty, and I had more pain with the hernia repair than the VSG!

    Another Newbie here!

There was a lady at the seminar that had the lap and was miserable & she was going for a revision to the sleeve, just from her story I ruled out the band. Dr Weiss explained the difference with the sleeve you don't have malabsorbsion issues less chance of dumping and you still have a fully functioning stomach, just smaller. You can still have tests done normally( upper GI) less restrictions on medications.

    SO EXCITED!!

Hello Everyone! I am patiently awaiting my surgery date(not really), should be early October. Wish it was this week! I am SO ready! I have been overweight all my life, and now after 2 kids I am heavier than ever before. My g-ma & mom were heavy and I have dieted for as long as I can remember. I am tired, I hurt and I want to get healthy before I really start having serious health problems. I am halfway thru my 6 months pre-op and I go for my EGD on Wednesday (eeeeek) I am nervous about that, but I always get nervous before any procedure. I have had 2 c-sections and I am hoping the VSG will not be any worse. I have been looking around here for a week or so and I have gotten many great ideas & I am hoping this forum will help me the farther along I go.

    Endo Question - Sedation?

I had mine on the 19th. At Central Baptist by Dr. Weiss in Lexington KY. All i remember is getting the oxygen in my nose& I was gone! I woke up easy and wasnt groggy at all. My throat wasn't sore. My MIL drove me, and we went shopping, lunch & I had my NUT appt 3 hrs later. Not sure what they used, but it was wonderful.

    Won't sleeve me...

I am on anti depressant after the birth of my boys. It usually hits me 6 months after I give birth(I have 2 boys). I was ready to wean off of them when I started this process and my Dr. Said just to stay on them for a while longer to help with the roller coaster ride the first few months after surgery. I would find another dr.
