Me, you just have to find something that you like and do it. I second Fluffy's suggestion to load some good music on your phone or iPod and only listen to that music when you're working out. I'm fairly competitive, so that helps me as well.
Favoredone posted about a month ago that she did 7 miles on the exercise bike on her FIRST visit to the gym. That motivated me to try to up my mileage during my 30 minute a day ride...and it worked. I'm now consistently hitting the 7 mile mark, so I'm now working on getting to 7.5 miles in 30 minutes.
I like the idea of watching a tv show, too. I haven't tried that one, but it sounds like a great idea!

you are going to have to find something you enjoy doing or your not going to stick with it. i actually enjoy the elliptical, i have some awesome music i only listen to while working out, or i go to the gym while Law and Order SVU is on, and i can pedal for an hour without even realizing. There is Zumba, swimming, do you have any girlfriends that would walk and talk with you? buy a Wii or Xbox, they have all kinds of workout games that are fun, you can even buy them used at your local gaming store. I work out because to me the shape i want is worth the exercise. i want to be toned and ripped as much as i can on my year anniversary when they take my picture again.
Good luck finding something that works for you

Search http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ she has lots of protein ice cream recipes and she has these great little microwave protein cakes too - I like to make a chocolate one and then toast a slice and add peanut butter - it really helps with the bread craving! She also has pancake bites which are yummy. She doesn't put proteing powder in them but I did add a scoop of unflavord myself and it was still good - I made some with chopped up pepperoni (I didn't have bacon or sausage on hand) and YUM! She also has a ricotta panckae recipe - again YuM! All these things have really helped me when I craved something I shouldn't have - great healthy alternatives. She had RNY several years ago and her site is a wealth of WLS friendly recipes!

J tube is the feeding tube that goes in to your jejunum/intestine. You can help prevent leaks by following your program rules but even that can't completely guarantee no leak. Mine was probably a missed staple. It stayed closed from swelling and eventually when the swelling went down it opened. A leak test before leaving the hospital won't show that, it takes several weeks for the swelling to go down. Be hyper aware of your body and anything that doesn't feel right, that's my advice!

Oh my! I had no idea you were having all these problems! I am so sorry! Glad to hear you are doing better!!
I was sleeved August 8th and an abscess and leak was discovered in October. I have had a J tube since then. Just got the ok to start liquids yesterday as my leak is gone! I have a drain too. I think the tubes are so uncomfortable! Ugh! But like you, I am finally starting to feel more normal! Even the time before my leak I had no energy and felt yucky so it is amazing to me now how much better I feel!
