  1. My surgery was on 10/10 and the first two weeks I was fine but then Monday I started throwing up everytime I took my multi vitamin. I was on a anti nausea patch the first two weeks and now I have phenegram suppositories that are not helping. I take prilosec every morning too. Has anyone else had this? I go back to work 11/10 and I have a really stressful job...I can't keep having these unexpected things happen... I need to be completely good before I go back to work!
  2. Thanks everyone...I tried with food and without..threw up both times! See my Dr. Tomorrow..hopefully he will have a solution!

Omg...my employer approved 4 weeks..100% paid. Take as much as your employer will allow..it is a major surgery and everyone handles it differently!

    Planning advice

My advice...a blender....it was my savor...I couldn't get the protein shakes down so I blended the beneprotein tasteless protein in my cream soups. egg drop soup worked good for me and had good protein. It was hard for me to get in and out of bed the first week so try to get all your medicine on the night stand...plus keep water close by. A definite on the pillow to hold when you cough, sneeze or laugh. And definitely make sure all your cleaning is done unless u have help. Good luck!
  5. It will be two weeks for me this coming Monday. I had a horrible time ...I mean the pain for me was unbearable and I was so dehydratied that it was unreal... 2 sips and I'm nauseous still and I take the prilosec daily and have a anti nausea medicine patch on. My emotions are still going crazy. I keep thinking the same thoughts...why did I do this to myself? I will say it is definitely getting better day by day. Take it easy though. I thought I was doing really good and I went out for a shopping day and the pain came back with a vengeance...I definitely did too much. Try to get at least some warm chicken broth down...SIP it..and also sugar free vitamim water worked for me. Hope it gets better...just know that u are not alone
  6. Well that makes sense. I've always had high blood pressure that I take medicine for but in the hospital my bp was reading low like 80/43 and they almost were not gonna release me . Plus when I got home they told me to resume my meds. I will have to have them check it on my 2 week post op. Thanks...I love this site
  7. Hello, My surgery was on 10/10...I have had a lot of pain and still do just not as bad. More so than the other guy who had it on same day as me. But I had a bad cough and I think that was why I was having trouble healing. However, things seemed to be going ok then I noticed yesterday I was dizzy and had blurred vision..I am having trouble even typing this. With that then the nausea started too. I switched back to liquid only but all I wanna do is sleep. I called my nurse and she said this was normal. Has anyone else experienced this? On the brighter side, I dropped all my Water weight and an additional 8 pounds since being released from hospital Grand total lost since start of this was 28 pounds ( I didn't add in the water weight)
  8. My surgery was also on 10/10, I didn't do too well. I had a lot of pain. But I noticed day by day its gets a little better. I have the gurgling and start to feel fine also when move around also then I get dizzy and exhausted. I felt like an idiot cuz this guy had same procedure same day and he was doing great. Hopefully it gets better!
  9. Hello, I am a 37 year old mother of a 19 year old in a very long term relationship with a skinny man..LOL! I cannot believe it is less then two weeks away, it's funny how all of the sudden everyone is telling me horror stories about the pain I will suffer. And the bad side of the sleeve such as the slow weight loss and the horrible gas. So, as you probably can imagine I am a nervous wreck! I guess I turned here to see if someone can make me feel better about my decision. My doctor requires a 800 calorie diet starting 2 weeks prior, it has been torture but as least not as bad as all liquid. I live with my boyfriend who is not spportive of my decision at all. He is 6'2 and never gains weight yet eats like an absolute pig. When we met I was 127, now I am 280, hard to believe I ever got this big, I think I gained all the weight from what he ate.. LOL... the picture is from 10 years ago ...he says I don't need the surgery and that he loves me how I am but I think he fears me leaving him or something really. My dad actually talked me into the surgery, now he is trying to talk me out it. Needless to say I am a mess. Anyone go through something similar?
