In the hospital they gave me GAS X strips... They work really well.... Call your doc and ask if you can take them... they melt in your mouth...

Hey everyone.. Just need some advice or if you can relate please " Chime in" . I am 4 weeks out from my sleeve surgery and last week I started having Stabbing, burning , and nerve pain on my left side it hurts so bad that it takes my breath away at times. It does seem to be getting a little better from last week , but I can't bend over . I called my Docs office and they said all this is normal and that some people start feeling worse at 4 to 6 weeks out. The pain does come and go. But , it is a awful pain when it hits... They have scheduled me a MRI but they don't think there is nothing serious. I feel fine and I am doing great with my sleeve otherwise. Did anyone have any of these issues?? Thanks Hope I get better soon so I can hit the gym..

They put a tube down my throat for surgery just because I had a bit of sleep apnea... My throat was sore afterwards but only lasted a day or so.. You will still be able to swallow... I was nervous about my surgery too . But it's so worth it!! BEST OF LUCK, you will do great

I am starting my creamed Soups tomorrow... I am 7 days post op and wanted to see if anyone can give me more options besides Cream of Mushroom or Cream of chicken... Thanks..

If you haven't tried the Cream Of Shrimp by Campbells.. you should.. it is full of flavor and Delish!!

I am 4 days post op and extremely sore on my left side , the nurses said its where they had to go in to staple my stomach.. I was wondering if anyone else experienced pain on their left side and how long it last?

I am having my sleeve surgery on 09/27 . I want to be prepared for when I get home... Any other ideas on liquids... I have on my list! sugar free Popsicles Water Crystal Light chicken and Beef broth and of course Protein shakes. Would love some feedback.. Nervous but so ready to say goodbye to this fat!!

Yes, I have been on a pre-op diet for 2 weeks... Protein shakes and my doc allowed 1 meal a day... Lean meat and non starchy Veg.
