  1. best of luck to you. i was banded december 1 2011 and so far i lost 105 pounds. this is the best decision i ever made. it takes a while to get used to the lifestyle but once you get into your groove, you will see the pounds melt away. good luck today and if you have any questions, send me a message. congrats.

good luck to you; i am 7 months post band and i love to read these stories so i always remember what the beginning was like and how hard i worked to get to where i am today. sounds like you r healing well and on the right track. good luck on your journey. if you need any advice or have any questions, maybe my 7 months experience can offer you some support. good luck Roseann from New Jersey; as hard as it is to cough, it is so important. i would take a few deep breathes, put a pillow on my stomach and get that cough out even though it hurt.
  4. 51 pounds is amazing; keep up the good work. this is life changing and i celebrate all non scale victories as well. u r almost in onederland saying goodbye to the 200s forever; good luck

  8. welcome and congrats. i was banded on december 1st and when i went to my first week follow up i had lost 25 pounds. but the next two weeks i lost nothing and at my third week follow up the dr said that 500 calories was not enough and increase to 800. when i increased to 800 last week, i lost the 2 pounds. may want to think about adding to the daily menu. good luck and keep up the good work

i was banded on december 1st and as of last week (my first dr's appt) i lost 25 pounds since liquid diet. i can't believe that 25 pounds in less than three weeks. i go back to him next wednesday and i am waiting for that appointment to hop on the scale. what a tough time to be banded, alot of parties and alot of temptations, but if we can get through this month i know we will be ok. went back to work yesterday and i feel great. hope everyone is doing well.

  21. glad everything went well. day four most op for me and each day i feel better. can't wait to sleep on my side either, my ass hurts by the morning. are you getting sick of the liquids? i am two weeks post op and i guess one more week. did you go for your first follow up yet? mine is wednesday. happy you are going well
  22. the gas pain in the shoulder left after one use of the heating pad but the ones in my stomach are here with a mission. i am day three post op and my stomach is making those rumbling gas noises. i am using the gas x and drinking as much water as i can, but it is hard to drink the water and the protein shakes. i am walking as much as possible also. i think just time will be the answer. good luck to you.

i can't believe that this day is actual almost here. i remember finding out in august that i had a surgery date of december 1st and it seemed lifeyear's away. three more days. i am starting to really get super excited about this. liquid diet sucks. lol. i can't wait for something solid to eat. never thought i would be craving a piece of grilled chicken. good luck to all december bandsters
  26. great job so far, if this is any indication of how you are going to do, i am sure you will be very successful. are you on facebook? you should come join our december 2011 bandster private group. alot of support there. hope all is welll. don't even think about anything going wrong, nothing but positive thoughts. take care
  27. wow, the time went fast. best of luck on your surgery and keep us posted.
  28. we are our worst critics. sometimes the picture we mentally see isn't the actual perception of the picture. does that make sense? i am trying to say that they say TV adds ten pounds, i think so do we when we see a picture of ourselves. love yourself a little more each day and as the pounds go away, hopefully you will like the person you see in the mirror as well as in the photo. even though you may not like the picture, compare it to one 50 pounds ago and take notice of the parts that look thinner. don't be so hard on yourself. congratulations on the weight you lost and keep up the good work. you are doing amazing.
