I'm happy to report that I paid off my Lane Bryant credit card, and knowing that I don't have to shop there anymore...I was a size 20pants and 18/20 tops.. I sure they miss me at my local Lane Bryant store they already knew me by my first name... Now I CAN shop where ever I like I'm on size 12 jeans, and L tops. But it was hard to make my mind catch up to my body.

I Am There! 145 Lbs Since 6/19/09.

What a awesome job !!!! Congratulation. -
I have also tried the "Luna Protein Bars" with 12gms of protein, they taste very good, and that coming from someone that didn't like chocolate bars even before the band. But I also agree with the other posts I usually count it as a meal and I only eat them when I'm at the gym and I'm taking one class after another one and I need that extra bust of energy.

I'm 5'10, my starting weight was 248 and surgery day was wearing a size 20 jeans, I'm six months out and I'm down to 191 and I'm wearing size 12 jeans

Hi I was wondering how are you doing after your breast reduction? I've been banded for six months now and for the first time I'm considering the possibility of having a lift and breast reduction. And I think I would be good to know from someone with the band.

Beautiful !!! Thanks for sharing.

Wow !!! You are doing great.. I was banded a few days after you (August 19, 2011) starting weight 248 and currently 198. I have to agree with you, exercise plays a very important role, and you have to find that one thing that you enjoy to actually make it to the gym. I actually really like zumba, and I try to go 5 times a week, and just this week I started taking body pump. Good luck to you, looks like you are doing great.

I Had Surgery Jan 26 In Mexico. Tomorrow I Can Start Full Liquids. Advice?
Lluna replied to Miss Meow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To be honest with you, I was very impressed myself of the service and professionalism of all the staff. The rooms extremely clean, and the service exceptional. We been back twice for fills and we don't regret the long drive since the fills are done under flouroscopy. I have only 2 fills, my last been on Nov 19 and I consider myself to be on the green zone. -

Lluna replied to Miss Meow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Our surgeon was Dr Lopez-Corvala, out of Hospital Angeles in Tijuana. My husband surgery was 4/1/11 and he is down 98lbs and my surgery was 8/19/11 and I'm down 50lbs. I'm very proud of myself that I'm out of the 200's Who was your surgeon? -
Never Had Surgery Before...nervous!
Lluna replied to ev1988's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The best advice that I can give you since this is your first surgery is to ask for anti-nausea medication before they put you under, I'm 41 years old and this was my first surgery ever and I didn't know how bad I react to the anesthesia, I was nauseated for 3 days if I would have known this my recovery would have been much easier. -

Lluna replied to Miss Meow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Both my husband and myself were banded in Mexico as well, and one thing that we liked to eat was the green pea soup from Campbell's I would put it on the blender first before cooking it, ones we advanced to the mushy stage I would just leave it as it is. It has a soft consistency that is good for that stage. And it actually tastes really good. -
Zumba And Lapband
Lluna replied to Yolanda Swing-banks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started zumba 6 weeks after my surgery. I absolutely love it. I try to go at least 4-5 times a week. The above post as how many calories you loose it completely right, it all depends how hard to do it, and it also depends a lot on the instructors. I take classes from 4 different instructors and some give you a better workout then the other. As far as my weight I'm 5 months out started at 248 and of this morning I'm down to 198 but more then my weight drop I feel that Zumba is shaping my body, I have a waist again, my arms and legs are getting skinny but not floppy. It's just a great workout. I actually look forward to my Zumba class. -
We live in Las Vegas, but we still go back for follow ups to the same surgeon in Tijuana. We prefer it that way because we get our fills done under fluoroscopy. My husband has had only 3 fills and he has a pretty good restriction, and I only have to fills and I don't think I need another one any time soon.

My husband has his surgery 4/1/11 in Tijuana at Hospital Angeles the surgeon was Dr Lopez-Corvala and my surgery was done 8/19/11 same hospital and same surgeon. I had my lap band done at the same time with my gallbladder. Best decisition ever, he is down 98lbs and I'm down almost 50lbs. The hospital was super clean, and the nurses, surgeon, anesthesiologist were very knowledgebles and professionals.

Worried It Will Effect My Life In A "negative" Way.
Lluna replied to dimplzjs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can honestly tell you that now I enjoy my social life even more then before, I still can have a margarita and maybe a small appetizer, but most of all I love the way I feel wearing a size 14 pants instead of a size 20 I was wearing only 5 months ago. -
Am I Nuts About This Concern Regarding Getting Surgery In Tijuana, Mexico?
Lluna replied to marketingdude's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My husband had his lapband at Hospital Angeles Tijuana last April and I went with him, and I was by myself, I would even go across the steet to the TGI Fridays for lunch or dinner. I had my lapband done at the same hospital last August, and both times we felt pretty safe. Oh and by the way both times we where there we meet other patients from all over the states (Alaska, Florida, North Dakota, etc) that we where able to talk to, and even walk down on the hallways during our recovery. I can truly say that we had a great experience during both of our surgeries, but you are the only one that can take that decision. -
I'm interested, what do I need to do?
-
I have had my fills with XRay, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A local doctor does the fills without it and my husband try getting a fill with him and it was the worst experience, so from there on we rather drive 4 hours to see out surgeon and get it done the right way.

Lluna replied to mdlapband's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations to both of you !!!! Both my husband and I had the lapband done this year, and it has been the best thing we have done, we feel soooo much better, It's just a great feeling. He is down from a size 54 pants to a size 36 and I'm down from 2xl top to a normal size L and the day of my surgery I was wearing size 20 jeans and today I'm wearing size 14 and they are getting big. . Keep up the good work. And congratulations again. -
That is also my concern, After my second I can only do warm liquids usually just like you until 1 or 2 pm.
