  1. I was on my pre op diet during our Canadian Thanksgiving and felt the same as you!
  2. I would probably wait at least 6 weeks to make sure your body has totally healed. I am a little nervous about getting back on my horse for fear of falling off and doing something to my band which is why I am waiting until the spring to ride.
  3. I am starting back to the gym next week - 6 wks out.
  4. Did you take your measurements when you started? I havent lost any weight for a while but I have definitely lost inches. As long as the inches are coming off, I am not concerned about the weight.
  5. Listen to what Jean says. She is the voice of experience. Call your doctor and tell him everything.
  6. Sending lots of hugs to you for your upcoming surgery!
  7. Hang in there Banjo. It will happen!
  8. I had 4cc put in my band during surgery. I am hoping to get a fill in 2 weeks.
  9. I havent exercised yet but my weight loss has slowed down. I am cleared to go back to the gym in a week. Cant wait to get back with my personal trainer!
  10. Awesome news! By the way, you were banded on my birthday
  11. At one month past my pre op I had lost 23 lbs. As of today it is 25 lbs. My ticker shows my weight loss from Christmas when I started to try and lose on my own. I lost approx 10 lbs in 10 months on my own. Band is definitely working for me
  12. Sending hugs and lots of luck on your new journey! You can do it!
  13. Our Mcdonalds is closed for renovations. If it opens in the next few weeks I will look for the coffee and mail it to you. I havent seen any in there though.
  14. sounds like you have a good doctor. I havent been for my first fill yet. Am waiting for the 6 wk mark.
  15. Well, your first nsv is that you got the band! My stomach was swollen for a few weeks. I measured the other day and found I had lost 3 inches off my waist. Same thing will probably happen to you. Be patient. You are still healing. I have lost 11 lbs since surgery I a think I am doing great
  16. I had 4cc put in my band during surgery. I have a 10 cc band. My fills are free if I go to my surgeons office. Its part of cost of the surgery.
  17. I have always said I am vertically challenged and am too short for my weight...lol
  18. Hey fellow Banded B I honestly dont think you need therapy. You are one the most sensible, optimistic people on this board. Your head just needs time to catch up to your body. From the research I have done it is quite normal to feel like this.
  19. Congrats on your choice of the lapband. All the emotions you are feeling are absolutely normal and in my case they intensified as I got closer to surgery date. I am convinced it is the best thing I could have done for myself!
  20. I think you should contact your surgeon because you are not supposed to be vomiting when you eat. Let us know how you make out.
  21. I am not far enough along to let you know how I would feel but right now when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror or a store window I see a very fat person even though I have lost 34 lbs. I also cannot get it through my head that I am 4 sizes smaller than I was at Christmas.
  22. Awesome news! You are rocking your band!!
  23. I think we have all been there. Anxiety, nervousness, fear is all part of the process. I was scared right up to the time the surgeon came in to talk to me just before my surgery. He said everything would be good and it was! Just think how much better your life is going to be after surgery. Sending you lots of hugs.
  24. I am fairly new to this and I can honestly say I dont find it hard. I am on solid foods now and find I can eat just about anything. The only thing I have trouble with is my blood pressure pill in the morning. I break it up and take it with a hot cup of tea but it still tends to get stuck for a bit . I wait for it to dissolve and then take another piece with tea. Takes me forever to get it down...lol I dont eat as soon as I get up because my band is tight in the morning and tends to loosen after about an hour and the hot tea helps. I do have cravings but nothing like they were pre band. I can walk by a display of chocolate bars or cakes etc and not feel like I absolutely need to have it. When I feel I really need chocolate I put some cocoa powder in my vanilla Protein shake, or my cottage cheese with some sweetener or I have a sf hot chocolate. I am having trouble getting my calories in. I seem to get 750 calories a day but cant get any higher. I find I really cant eat much at one time. Usually 1/2 cup of food. I have to really concentrate on getting my protein. Would I do this again? Absolutely , in a heartbeat! It is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
