  1. i have had some chocolate once or twice ;)

i dont understand why that doesnt make me throw up, but when i eat right (yesterday i had one egg scrambled with some cheese on it-tasted great going down, not so great coming right back up) i get sick?

not always but i have never gotten sick off of chocolate :P

That's exactly my problem!!! I threw up a scrambled egg but PB cups go right down just fine. Not good!

Today I cut up a pear and had few slices with some cheddar cheese. Thankfully that sat well with the sleeve.

Does anyone else have no appetite in the morning? I can't stomach anything until about 11 am and then I eat a little bit every couple hours until about 5 or 6. Then I'm done for the day. Very weird!

  2. Please try to relax and do what you know is best for you.

When I told my mom, I also told her I wasn't asking her permission. I knew she would freak out, especially about going to Mexico. I also had the added stress of my husband freaking out too. But they finally both came around and here I am 11 days post op and 13 lbs down so far. I am very happy I did what I knew I needed to do, even though I'm in the toughest part of it right now!

    Hang in there! (((hugs)))

  3. It is unfortunate, but it's quite easy to binge with the sleeve.

The sleeve makes it impossible to eat big meals with any kind of meat, but you can't even imagine how well bad things like Cookies and candy go right through like there is no sleeve there.

OK, you have sufficiently freaked me out!!! I am praying this will work for me but all I can think about is how I sabotage every diet I've been on. Oh dear.

  4. Hi, I think I was there the same time as you. I was sleeved by Aceves on the 10th. Great experience, although I don't remember too much of it because of the meds. They put us at the Crowne Plaza the night before surgery though. I wonder why you were in a different hotel?

Best wishes on your journey! If you are who I remember you didn't look like you had much to lose. I thought you might have been a lapband revision to sleeve. I am down 10 lbs so far one week out!

  5. Hi, I was sleeved in Mexicali on the 10th, everything went well and I am 6 days out now.

I have to admit I am not following the rules because the clear liquids and Protein shots were not cutting it for me. My body was craving real food protein! So I have been experimenting with tiny bits of soft Protein. Cottage cheese, PB, mashed banana w/ yogurt, these all went well. Last night I tried some turkey lunch meat and it was uncomfy but stayed down. This morning I tried 1 scrambled egg and it came back up so no more eggs for a long while. I did try soft boiled egg yok yesterday and it was fine.

I'm tired of the Vitamin Water Zero now after so much of it, but I am drinking a lot of Water w/ fresh lemon juice and stevia added. I'm down 8 lbs so far!!!

  6. I just had my VSG with Aceves on October 10th, last Monday. I requested no spinal block because I have had back surgery and did not want to chance it. They were happy to manage my pain in other ways. Sergio even brought me a pillow for under my knees during surgery so my back would be supported. They were very nice and helpful.

I remember more than you do I think. I was actually up walking within 30 minutes of getting out of recovery. I remember feeling the gas and wanting to walk it out so hubby helped me walk.

  7. Are any of the ladies on here that were sleeved last week with Dr. Aceves? Just wondering how you're doing.

I have had NO nausea at all and drinking fine as long as I sip. I get that uncomfy bubble if I drink too much at once or too fast.

Yesterday I caved and had a tiny spoon of PB but it went down fine. I also had some Arctic Zero whey Protein 'ice cream', it was so good and went down great. I wish that stuff wasn't so expensive!
