Need to have a Lapband unsuccess story tab
CHEZNOEL replied to kristallynn13's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I will join the chorus and recommend a counselor who works with both depression and food addiction. It is not too late to start over and turn this story back to positive. Best wishes to you! -
I am also in Durham... happy to chat with you!

I use chobani yogurt as a snack. Generally if the yogurt is flavored I may add in 1/2 scoop of unflavored protein. Also, really good is plain yogurt with a tbsp of peanut butter for a snack, or PB cookie flavored protein powder.

OMG there is a space between my legs...
CHEZNOEL replied to FLORIDAYS's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I noticed that gap a few months ago, and now when I am sitting, I keep looking at it. The head takes a while as you know, but you look fabulous lady! I am 5'9" as well so I know the big feeling all to well. Congratulations and happy belated birthday! -

Walking is good... It also may help to swing your arms when you walk, The gas in not in your tummy so other than walking, nothing much else helps. Best Wishes

Valentine band! My gift to self!!'
CHEZNOEL replied to rcaruthie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep to the plan, glad you are doing well. Continue to sip, sip sip. It helps with the physical hunger... you will have to find something else to do with yourself to help the head hunger. Keep busy, and you won't think so much about eating. Good luck! -
My surgeon advised against carbonated sodas.

Burps...Burps...Burps
CHEZNOEL replied to 4thefuture31's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Burping is part of the program. Get used to it. -
Really don't need the picture to know that you are perfectly normal for this stage. Walking helps the gas. Try swinging your arms while you walk. Liquids in equals liquids out unfortunately. My doc allowed imodium if it gets too bad. In a few days this will all be behind you! Hang in there!

Great post Cheryl. We only have shelter animals at our house. Have for years. Good luck with the lawmakers!

One episode is not likely to stretch your band. Call Doc, he may want you to take nausea meds.
-
It is unproven in human testing. Why take the chance? Just eat following band rules.
-
Carcinia gambogia???? Call you lap band doctor to discuss with him. Dr. Oz is not a lap band surgeon to my knowledge. You may do more harm than good, blindly treating yourself. What did they sat about the Fluoro? Surely there was a doctor there to order that test? Please take care of yourself and see a qualified medical team. Best Wishes.

lapband...can you feel it?
CHEZNOEL replied to carlak's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just the port... I have never felt the band. The port is not visible to others looking at you. -
Ham is edible for me if I chew it to mush, but then I chew everything to mush! LOL

It works for me if I eat enough protein.

Throwing up and that time of the month
CHEZNOEL replied to Hope2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The surgery can cause some strange hormones to float about. I agree with the poster above, get nausea meds and call the OBGYN. Best wishes. -
Everyone varies. I never had any trouble with liquids as long as I did not try to gulp down too much at once. Congrats on your surgery and progress so far. Best wishes for your recovery.

Is this normal?!
CHEZNOEL replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stick to the program. You will be able to add calories as you add in foods. Healing time causes strange results! Good luck! -
when did you start shakes
CHEZNOEL replied to msseven's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on full liquids for 3 weeks, then soft foods. Every doctor varies, yet all seem to get results if you follow their plan. I think of it as multiple paths to the same place. Best wishes, and do what your doctor says.
