Sounds yummy -
Some people need several fills to get to the point where they are not hungry. This is very common and I am sure your surgeon can help you with your questions.

anxious, overwhelmed, questioning following through...
CHEZNOEL replied to jlerch9's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Losing weight is all about self control and making good choices. It does not sound like you are fully committed to the Lap Band. You will have to be in order to be successful. It sounds like your "diet" lasted less than 1 week. You might want to search for a counselor to help you with your eating before any surgery. -
Noises don't mean hunger.

I would allow a full 10 days before driving and running around all day. You will get more tired more quickly. If you can take even more time I would do it. There is a lot of healing going on, and eating in the car or while traveling around will take adjustments on your parat.

7-10 days should be good.

Telling your surgeon you're pregnant
CHEZNOEL replied to Mara005's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
He's a medical doctor. He can handle it. Get it out on the table so everyone knows what is going on. -
Band has been slipped for 10 mths now...getting frustrated!
CHEZNOEL replied to marfar7's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Do or do not....there is no try. It will not change if you keep doing what you are now... nothing. -
Best wishes... but don't rely totally on the band. You have to do your part to eat the right portion sizes, etc.

Help I start my 3 week liquid diet Thursday
CHEZNOEL replied to JennB1869's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can be done... don't over think it. Make sure you find out what shakes your doctor recommends. Some say water only for mixing, others allow non-fat milk, or unsweetened almond milk, my favorite. And check out the web site for Nashua Nutrition... they offer single serving sample packs so you can test taste before buying the powder in bulk. The powder is much cheaper long term than the ready made shakes. Good Luck! -
Nervous or Excited or both = NORMAL!

Weight loss slowing down / no B.M's
CHEZNOEL replied to Danna W's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree... no BM is something you need to address with your doctor, but it is not at all unusual for the weight loss to slow as you you lose more and more. Keep up with your program. Are you getting exercise? Best wishes... you can make it happen it you WANT it! -
Amazing story, and so brave! Join us! You will like it and we will help you. I think seeing a therapist is a great idea. We all became obese for different reasons. I hope you find yours and conquer it! Best wishes!

congratulations... here's to more to come! NSV are the greatest!

Profile... would help but sounds like an allergic reaction. If you are recent from surgery it could be one the meds they gave you. Definitely call your doctor.

sweetener and meatballs-weird combo
CHEZNOEL replied to dylanmiles23's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I use Purevia which is a brand of Stevia. It comes in individual packets and in larger bulk bags so you can measure it like sugar. I do not cook with it, but I have cooked with some of the blended sweetners with stevia or spenda and sugar mixed without problem. I saw a study recently that stated the the aspartame and nutrsweet sweetners cause the same sugar rise in insulin as real sugar. Stevia does not. My doc and nutritionist approve. -
Are we all really grown ups talking about stalking on a weight loss forum. Give me a break. You can't be serious.
