I'm 50, took one full week off after surgery, then went back to desk job for half days for 2 weeks. So glad I took the half days...biggest issue was exhaution! Still have to take a quick nap after work so I can function; good luck to you! ♡

Mine are super itchy too. I use Aquphor, which helps a bit

Exhausted! 6 days post-op
SugarCali replied to SugarCali's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
8 days post-op and actually feel so much better! Finding it easier to sip more Water finally and get min. 40g Protein really helps. My doctor is the best! Showed up for my follow up Tuesday and was greeted with a Protein shake, and when I left, they gave me one for the road. It really helped me feel less nauseous and tired ♡ -

Back to work Monday.... not excited
SugarCali replied to Learningtolive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Glad to hear your dad is better! I have a desk job, so hoping my back to work transition goes smoothly. My main issue 6 days post-op is that I am just exhausted all day! -

Water/Protein is a full time job
SugarCali replied to DeletedMember's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Who would have thought it would be so hard to sip water??? I keep bottles ALL over: on each bathroom counter, on my nitestand, on the coffee table...just as constant reminders, but it's a real effort to take even just one sip. 6 days post-op and exhausted, so KNOW I have to keep at it! -
2nd day post-op and pooping like crazy
SugarCali replied to MozzaWehsha's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will have to try that Miralax too, as 6 days out and NOTHING yet -
Hi,I am 6 days post-op, still on clear liquid diet. Trying, trying to get 60g protein each day, but getting more like 40 if I'm lucky. Pain is now very bearable even without meds. Was hoping to get back to work after my follow-up Tuesday, but, omg, I am just EXHAUSTED!! Also, finding it hard to sip water unless it's VERY icy and cold. Anyone else feel like this?

SugarCali replied to clardoss's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm 5 days post op and finally feeling some relief! Last night was the first night I skipped the rx pain meds and did ok with just regular Tylenol. My drain incision hurts still too and all incisions are itchy, itchy!! But getting better day by day, & hope you will too Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App -

SugarCali replied to Soexcited's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
March 21st! Will have surgery at Scripps LaJolla, I'm 51 and have a 12 year old. SoExcited: lots in common, I had the lapband too, my surgery will be a revision. Had my pre-op appointment today, long day, but REALLY sinking in! Good luck fellow March-ers ♡
