I have an account that I do not have a bank card for. Makes it harder to get the money. Then I have a direct debit from my regular bank account on each payday for about 200$ or whatever you can spare. It adds up fast when you forget about the money in the cardless account.

I would say you are an inspiration to many! I love following your blog and seeing your progress. I am jealous that I am not there yet (note I said yet) as I too will be on the loosers bench one day soon. And I know that I CAN succeed by seeing all the great results from everyone. Be a role model as the more you succeed and keep up the more people that are struggling will realise what a great tool the sleeve is and may someday themselves go through with the surgery.
Keep the thougths positive and it should help your mind stay positive. Its a new and exciting path in life that needs to be relished and explored and enjoyed in all its glory.

Yoghurt is tolerated as the bacteria break the lactose sugar down for you. That is why you had no problems with the yoghurt. The lactose free milk is perplexing as to why it is causing you mild discomfort. My only thought would be that it is only approx 99 to 98% lactose reduced and you are having a mild reaction to the small percent that remains.
I would either try almond milk or if you like the soy ones try them. Your stomach is still healing. Slowly introduce the lactose reduced milk after some healing time.

Glad to see you hopped back on the wagon and tried again. Especially after your ordeal with the first go round.

I did not know they perform the VSG in Edmonton. Still too long of a wait for me even though I have to wait till early next year to have the surgery. Faster than health care here and Dr Aceves seems to be a very experienced surgeon which I would prefer to have.

Moms can sometimes be hurtful. I think that is why I do not plan on telling my family as I know I will get the lectures over and over from everyone of how I have ruined my life.
Just know that you have a great support group here. And hopefully Mom will come around.

I had a good friend this year pass away from breathing in helium.. As Ouroborus stated its better to stay away from the stuff.
Helium blocks the capnic response and you will never feel the need to struggle for air. So be careful as too much can kill you.

Oh and Blackberry I would offer to drive and pick you up but I will be out of town at the time of your surgery. I know the cab is super expensive to get out to the airport. See if there is an airporter bus that goes out and then only need to cab to say a hotel in downtown Edmonton. Just a thought. Would be alot cheaper that way.
check out edmontonskyshuttle adult rate is 15$

How long after surgery did anyone feel up to driving for longer than 1 hour?

Stiring with a metal spoon helps the bubbles release. Still takes awhile to go completely flat.

Well said 1MP4LIFE! I was wondering how the politics of illegals related to VSG surgery. I come here for information on surgery and peoples progress. I do not appreciate people who rant about miss information that has nothing to do with the actual surgery.
It's Official!
