There has been problems with patients that have had RNY gastric bypass with absorption of Calcium as the duodenum is bypassed. But what studies found was that if these patients took calcium citrate supplements they were able to absorb it better than calcium carbonate.
The sleeve does not bypass the duodenum therefore there should not be any problems with absorption. But you could always take the calcium citrate supplements if there was a worry.
Check springerlink there are studies done on this subject.

I think I heard they were titanium and that I have not heard of people being allergic to it. That is why it is used.

Maybe you are losing fat and gaining muscle? As muscle is heavier than fat.. That is all I can think is happening. I would suggest staying the course and see what happens.

I had to take it before a different surgery and I had to drink a specific amount every hour. I found that within 5 -10 mins of drinking it I had to go to the washroom. Then I would wait for the next hour and take the next amount and then within 5 to 10 mins would go to the bathroom. As the day was getting on my tummy started to make noise and I felt that I had to go to the bathroom more often.
This was a long time ago so I do not fully remember but when I had the feeling to go I had to get to the bathroom. Probably best to see if you can arrange for someone else to pick up your friend.

As of today, I weigh what it says on my driver's license! Which is hilarious because it was a HUGE lie when I gave them that weight in the first place!hahaha MlkPas I can totally relate to that one and can not wait (weight) to actually be the size I said I was on my drivers license. And then beat it as I have 2 years before I have to get a new license.
