  1. If one does not watch what they eat there is the possiblitiy of regaining weight. Like if a post sleever has a 3000 calorie drink every day that will definitily affect the weight. As long as you use this tool prpperly for life you should not have to worry about regaining all your weight and then some. What evidence has the DS forum persons shown that after so many years the weight is regained?

  2. regardless, it's my body..my business..and I have to do what I'm comfortable with. On the other hand..I'm only going to be there for six month months..so would it be the worst thing for me to just be truthful and tell him?

There is surgery to repair the esophageal sphincter (opening to your stomach) that was allowing gastric juices to come up. And the recovery will be the same as VSG, no lifting or extrenuous activity for 1 month, Fluid then mushy then small amounts of food. Just say you have very bad GERD and need it to be surgically repaired.

  3. I have thought many of the same things you have in the past couple of months. That is why I purchased my plane tickets without a refund available. Just to give me the extra courage as time gets closer and I start to act more and more like a chicken. I know this is what I need and I look back at all the failed attempts at keeping my excess weigth off.

2011 is the year of positive change in my life.

  4. You lost 58 pounds in a little over 4 months! That is awesome! Tell me when was the last time you lost that much weight and kept it off in 4 months? That works out to more than 3 lbs a week so I would say it sounds like you are on track. Everyone looses the weight at different rates. If you are doing everything right and following the recommend food plan I would not worry about how fast or slow you are loosing.

    Keep up the great progress!

  5. I had a panic attack earlier today and am still in pain. This is the second I've had since being sleeved back in august. The first was when I woke up from the anesthesia in the operating room after being sleeve and I was put on the pain med drip and that took care of it. Today I was in a store shopping and it hit me, the pain toned down a lot after about an hour. But now it's back again, feels like somebody is stabbing me right under my rib cage and hurts in the back to. I was just wondering if anybody else has had these kind of issues with panic attacks since being sleeved. I don't think that the pain has anything to do with not taking an acid blocker because I have not taken an acid blocker in over 4 months now. I tried to call my doctors nurse today but all I got was voicemail, any suggestions?

Do you still have your Gallbladder?

  6. The texture is what got me. They are NO where near a spaghetti noodle. Its like saying soy milk tastes just like regular milk.. Ummm NO it doesnt, but some people do not mind the flavour of soy. So that being said some people do not mind the noodles. I personally will not buy them again.

  7. There are Vitamins that come in liquid form. Calcium with Vit D made by Wellesse is really good and if you take one tbsp in the morning and one in the afternoon you will be able to absorb the Vitamin. B12 you can get as a subligual. I am sure they make a liquid Multivitamin you would have to check it out.

As Tiff said your body needs electrolytes to function. Try to get in some gatorade to up your Fluid and get those electrolytes in. Your body functions depend on the electrolytes.

You need to get in your protein! If your body starts to eat your muscles (and your heart is a muscle) you will put yourself in more danger. Have you tried natural Protein (tuna, salmon, Peanut Butter, eggs) check out what is available and what you can tolerate.

Your doctor will have more suggestions for you, they will know what you need to do and how to go about it.

Take care of yourself! Keep us posted on your progress.
