  7. Yeah, it takes a while for the first bowel movement so dont worry. Drink as much as you can, your body will tell you when it has had enough. I believe you would know if you had a leak, you get sick feeling I believe, like mab said, any fever or serious nausea?
  8. I told everyone that would listen...lol! I have no problem telling anyone, they can judge if they want, I dont care! I am doing what is right for me and my health.

Sure, I have days where I dont exercise enough , have enough water etc but it helps me get back on track. You are doing great just mix it up a bit and I bet the weight loss kicks back in soon. Best of luck to you.

  18. It is completely normal. I slept a lot the two weeks after surgery, my body needed it after a major surgery. I slept during th day and all night too. It took me about 3 weeks before I was back to my "normal" sleep pattern.
  19. I am the happiest girl in the world this am, I finally made it to onderland! 199 on the scale today! I am doing the happy dance! I am down 56 lbs, 41 since surgery Feb 9th. I was thinking I was going a bit slow but now I dont care, I made it to my first big goal! Happy Wednesday to all!

  21. Dorries has it, eat less , make the right choices and you can soooo do this! Congrats on making this decision for yourself, you will be amazed how fast you are feeling better. Best of luck to you. You will not have to go without with the family, just better choices. It is probably a good thing to get the family eating better too.
  22. Hi dorries, I have tacos...just no shell or tortilla. I go to out local mexican restaurant and they have the yummy ones with the cilantro and onions, I eat the meat and the veggies, sooo good. I can only eat one, maybe a couple extra bites of a second but it kills the craving and good protein too! Trust me, you wont be able to eat too many!
  23. Well, everyone is different and Doctors are different as far as when they want you to eat certain things. I was eating "regular" foods at 3 weeks out, albeit not much but I am going to be 12 weeks out on May 9th and I have been to chinese, mexican, pizza, sushi, steakhouses etc and have no issues other than not being able to eat much. I dont have any carbs, mostly meat and vegies but I am not going without. What is your favorite meal by the way, just curious.
  24. Hi , you are going thru sooo many emotions right now, your body is going thru some major changes so it is hard to say. Maybe a sit down, heart to heart is needed to find out how you are both feeling, cant hurt to try. Best of luck to you and congrats on your awesome weight loss!
