    Flab On Front Of Arms

My arms are out of proportion with the rest of my body (they started out 19 inches round) and they are looking horrible so I've decided I would rather them be overly muscley then flabby so I'm lifting heavier weights 25-30 pounds 3 reps of 12 on all the circuits at the gym.

    Fast Food After Surgery!

I eat Wendy's chili, McDonalds fruit and yogurt parfait w/o granola. What I LOVE is Arby's roasted Chicken club. It is deli roasted chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and sauce. I get it w/o the bun and half the sauce. Has 20 grams of protein. I eat it for dinner and lunch. I can't do bread yet at all.

    Working On Working Out

you are going to have to find something you enjoy doing or your not going to stick with it. i actually enjoy the elliptical, i have some awesome music i only listen to while working out, or i go to the gym while Law and Order SVU is on, and i can pedal for an hour without even realizing. There is Zumba, swimming, do you have any girlfriends that would walk and talk with you? buy a Wii or Xbox, they have all kinds of workout games that are fun, you can even buy them used at your local gaming store. I work out because to me the shape i want is worth the exercise. i want to be toned and ripped as much as i can on my year anniversary when they take my picture again. Good luck finding something that works for you
  9. yeah that is awesome! i would be happy to lose more inches than pounds if it meant smaller clothes :-) i can tell by the way i am losing i am going to be "Mariyln" shaped and thats ok with me.
  10. you look awesome! Dunno where that 26 pounds is going to come from :-D
  11. Myabe you need a few carbs? not sure what your diet is allowed at that stage since every doc is different, but when i have too low carbs i feel empty and lightheaded. on the puree stage i would have some potatoe soup just a few oz every few days. made me feel better.
  12. WOW really hits home! so is she back on track to lose the weight? if she straightened up her diet the weight would come off again right?
  13. My grey is bad though but I'm so afraid to color it, i don't wanna tick it off.
  14. I cut my hair into a cute bob as well right after my surgery I'm losing a handful of hair a day. Its been falling out for a month so I hope it calms down soon, I am doing a round of zinc, thAts what my nut told me to try.
  15. I also do 5-7 hours of cardio, weight training a week.
  16. I am 3 months 2 weeks. I eat 800 calories a day. 70 grams protein, 60 gram carbs, 80-100 oz of water. I have lost 63 pounds. I can eat almost anything. My sleeve doesn't like milk, ice cream, chocolate. I enjoy food with a lot of flavor now. Spices are my best friend.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

Hum, what kind of ground beef do you use? Try to use the leanest ground beef or try ground turkey. Also use low fat ham or even turkey. That will cut down on some of the fat.

    Yay I Found One!

I agree a good support group is important. My surgeons office sponsers ours, and the awesome part is, the NUT, insurance cordinator; (she had bypass), the RN, nurses asst, and even the surgeon himself all take turns sponsoring the meetings, so you get a chance to talk to them all if you come every month. thats the only thing i dont like its only once a month. Last month my NUT and I talked about plastics for a half hour. SHe is getting some and promised to tell me about the whole experience and how much it cost. Im excited! I am going to get me some next summer. :-D

    I Want Chinese Food!

or try hibatchi. If you go for lunch their specials are CHEAP! you can get the same thing you get for dinner in a lunch portion for less than 10 bucks. And you can moniter what they put in your food. They always use the fat free or no sodium seasonings when they cook mine, and it comes with a salad (dressing on the side) with zuccini, broccoli, carrots onions. YUM! You can get chicken, Steak, or shrimp. and if you cant have rice they will cook it without. i get shrimp then have a few bites of the hub steak and daughters chicken (then take most of mine home for left overs hahaha) The fried and sauces are where the extra calories come from. In this day and age where everyone is "on a diet" and restaruants are a lot better at catering to the customer.
  20. well im half way to 6 months so im going to have to try to squeeze out some extra farts

    What's Your Favorite Work Out?

I do many classes at my gym. H.I.T (high intensity training) boot camp, circuit training and I enjoy the good old fashioned elliptical. I get bored with just running so I need things to keep me concentrating. I also do weight lifting. Want to keep toned.

    Guys Suck! Venting!

It can be frustrating! My hubby started his lifestyle change the day I started my pre-op diet. On my one month visit he borrowed the doctors scale. I had lost 33 with the sleeve, he had lost 28 ON HIS OWN. Now 3 month out he is at goal at the 40 pounds he wanted to lose, and I'm still chugging along lol.
