  1. Good! I hope it gets better!
  2. I have found that a lot of my hunger is in my head. If I think about it for a second, I'm not hungry and it's more of a habit and tasting something good. Not eating.
  3. That is wonderful for a start, I'm still on a liquid diet but will get started right away. If you think of anything else that would be helpful I would be grateful!
  4. Booboofachi- Congrats!!! I think it is exciting! How are you doing?
  5. I had to do 6 months ofbeing seen by a doctor. In which I lost 20lbs with no mandatory diet. I quit smoking in Mayand gained it back. A small price to pay in the grand scheme of things. I've lost 10lbs againsince surgery. I feel GREAT! And would beextremely interested in your wise help Shirley!
  6. Hi all!! My name is Hollie and I just got banded on 8/17 and I'm looking for some upbeat, kick my butt buddies to help me with this journey. I know we all can't be positive all the time, but I will promise to try my best to motivate and help you feel better when you need it as well!! I live in north central Missouri. I'm 27, married, with twin 8 year old boys and a mini Aussie Shepherd named Pixie. I'm currently going to school to get my RN license AND trying to continue my job with dialysis, as well as being a good wife and mother and making a huge life change with my band journey! So I have A LOT on my plate (figuratively) I have unlimited talk and text! Let me know!
  7. Has anyone else observed this, will it pass? Or is it here to stay (hopefully!!) I was banded on 8/17 and besides my brain wanting me to eat (or in my case drink) I have really NOT been hungry.
  8. Thanks you guys for all of the support. I stopped with my pain meds and my anti emetic meds and I haven't felt queasy again. Getting fluids down now, and have lost 10lbs! So excited! I'm so excited about losing the weight I have started walking and riding my bike to get it down even more! All is well, thanks for the concern!
  9. I called the PA tonight and he gave me a different kind of nausea medicine. Also, I've been reading to just take 2 teaspoons of liquid at a time wait about 15 minutes and then some more. I've gotten down about 2 ounces of Protein shake so far with little to no bping. You might try that!
  10. I am in the same boat. Got banded Wed, and have had pbing and frothing. I almost think that it is my pain meds on an empty stomach. I'm going to give them up tomorrow and see if that doesn't help. I can't even get a sip of water without burping. Sorry i can't be of more help
  11. I was banded 8/17/11 so this is my 3rd day post op. Haven't been able to keep much down and today especially has been taxing. Have vomited about 8 times and can't keep even sips down. I'm sure tomorrow will be better!
