  1. I'm hungry lol I'm on my full liquid diet was doing great till I had to cook dinner tonight sigh so I'm gonna have to fight it lmao but other then that I'm happy I made this decision, lost 3 pounds since friday.

I have found that a lot of my hunger is in my head. If I think about it for a second, I'm not hungry and it's more of a habit and tasting something good. Not eating.

  2. For one I hope you are on some type of Diet from your Doctor.

Go to myfitnesspal.com and log in, (IT"S FREE.) You will keep track of all your Protein, Calories, and exercise. That is a good thing, because it's kept in Memory, and you will see what you are doing daily. Also you can view what other people are doing with their Diet, and get some good Tips.

I am Losingintime on there site, hope to see you there.

    How's that for a start.....

    Shirley.

That is wonderful for a start, I'm still on a liquid diet but will get started right away.

If you think of anything else that would be helpful I would be grateful!

  3. I had to do 6 months ofbeing seen by a doctor. In which I lost 20lbs with no mandatory diet.

I quit smoking in Mayand gained it back. A small price to pay in the grand scheme of things.

I've lost 10lbs againsince surgery. I feel GREAT!

And would beextremely interested in your wise help Shirley!

  4. Hi all!!

My name is Hollie and I just got banded on 8/17 and I'm looking for some upbeat, kick my butt buddies to help me with this journey. I know we all can't be positive all the time, but I will promise to try my best to motivate and help you feel better when you need it as well!!

I live in north central Missouri. I'm 27, married, with twin 8 year old boys and a mini Aussie Shepherd named Pixie. I'm currently going to school to get my RN license AND trying to continue my job with dialysis, as well as being a good wife and mother and making a huge life change with my band journey! So I have A LOT on my plate (figuratively) :) I have unlimited talk and text!

    Let me know!

  5. Thanks you guys for all of the support. I stopped with my pain meds and my anti emetic meds and I haven't felt queasy again. Getting fluids down now, and have lost 10lbs! So excited! I'm so excited about losing the weight I have started walking and riding my bike to get it down even more! All is well, thanks for the concern!

  6. Hey all,

This is my first time on this forum, and I'm so glad I found it!

I just got banded this past Wednesday. I'm having 2 problems I want some opinions on - or maybe just to know it's normal.

My saliva is... really slimy. Like thicker than normal. Which as I read, I guess is normal... but it usually seems to be related to food being stuck? All I've had is Water since my surgery.

I also have gas pain in my stomach that won't go away - I feel like I really need to burp but I can't. Finally I'll heave a bit (like I'm going to vomit) and then I have what I think is called a PB (Productive Burp?) and I puke up a bit of this super-slimy saliva that I guess has been sitting at the top of my stomach...

The gas gets painful enough that I can't drink... I try to force myself to at least have Water to keep hydrated, but if I haven't *just* had a PB, then the pressure just builds up and I end up vomiting it all up anyway....

I did go in yesterday and they took out the prime saline, so my band is currently empty... but I still haven't been able to have anything other than water and it's been 3 days...

Suggestions? Is this normal? What helped you with the gas pain?

I am in the same boat. Got banded Wed, and have had pbing and frothing. I almost think that it is my pain meds on an empty stomach. I'm going to give them up tomorrow and see if that doesn't help. I can't even get a sip of water without burping. Sorry i can't be of more help :(
