    Bathroom Habits

MOM is the way to go if you are having problems. Miralax did nothing for me, even doubling the amount.
  2. OMG... Been where you ARE.. get you some MOM. Milk of magnesium. TAKE a capful. I KNOW what $hitting a BRICK feels like as I waited TOO long after surgery. I had to give myself enemas, and it still did not work. MOM, milk of magnesium will be your FRIEND~~~ take a cap-full early morning-afternoon......if it does not work the first time, ADD MORE to the cap on top of bottle. Take a double shot if needed, Just STAY CLOSE to the bathroom as it will remove the PLUG, but will make u RUN...................SMOOTH MOVE.................after MOM......... it makes u say AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  3. I am right there with you sisters! The first time I felt my tailbone was in the shower and I thought OH MY what is THAT!!!!! I realized it was my tailbone, as I had never felt it before!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! it feels so "BONEY" I have sensed felt 'the bone' more and more.......so I am very careful with it as to how and where I sit.....I NEVER EVER have had that problem before!!!!!!!!
  4. When I had my surgery, My husband and only a very FEW knew, I even kept if from MY family as I did not WANT TO HEAR: WHY did you DO THAT! Still after 2 years very few people know what I did, when people see me eat, I say l am a very picky eater and eat very little. ( my dad was the same way, he was just BORN with it. I needed HELP!.) Tell who YOU want to tell, leave the others guessing, you owe them no explanation!!!!!! Best of luck to you!

    Where are the 50s ???

Hi, I was 54. 5' 4" and weighed exactly the same, YOU will notice MUCH difference after about 3-4 weeks, Make yourself walk, even if it is just in circles in your driveway, in your house, or in a building you have access too, NOT too much, start slow and do not overdue it, you know you have to start exercising and walking is the best. YOU WILL want to do this after your surgery if you were serious in the beginning, WALK as much as you can, the more you walk, the more energy you will get. IT is a GOOD circle, but YOU have to want to do it, best of luck to you and holler if we can help!

    Best and worst "compliments"

Don't you just really want to "ignore the nasty people" that would not even talk to you before you lost weight, then all of a sudden the compliments come, and you know in your heart they are just being NOSEY!!!! JUST keep on smiling, Be positive, because they are so freaking jealous they cannot stand it, they want to find fault with what YOU are doing to bring the ATTENTION OFF of THEM!. Do what the DR tells you, and HOLD THAT HEAD HIGH, and just SMILE REAL BIG when you walk past them!!!! They are the ones suffering, but want to blame US. ROCK THAT SLEEVE!!!!!
  7. If you will go back to page one and start reading, you will see that everyone that has the surgery goes thru this stage, and the answers are always the same. I remember the journey very well as I would stall for months at a time. That is when I decided to stay off the scale and use clothes to see how I was losing. you will lose inches but not a pound. Your body is fighting to keep your weight, but eventually it will let go. Best of luck to all of you.
  8. Stay off the ONE EYED MONSTER<RE: SCALE.... get in your fluids and protein, your body had just went thru a tremendous SHOCK!!!!, give it time to HEAL............... do what you know you need to do, stay off the scale and try on those OH SO TIGHT JEANS!!!!!!
  9. Try the GASX strips! They are wonderful!!!!

    Best and worst "compliments"

keep rocking those sleeves and CONGRATS to all, the best compliments come from within us. Today I looked in the mirror and thought OH MY I need to GAIN some weight!!!!. I am hanging at 125, but I am 5' 4" so that may be NORMAL, but I am not yet used to it!!!!

    Tlc-my 600lb life

It will be the best thing you did for YOU!!!! Follow the Dr orders, and keep us posted on your results. I have watched the show several times, it makes you want to cry for those people. They have to have "enablers" to let themselves get that large, I am so happy to see when they are able to get the help that they need.
  13. And you should be... Keep rocking that sleeve!! I KNOW the feeling, been there......and staying there!!!!

    One Last Drink

Everyone has to do what is right for them, You are the only one responsible for YOU! Just because as my mom used to say, someone jumps off the cliff, does not mean you have to. Rock that sleeve... we did it for our health! Ü
  17. At first I weighed daily, then I got to weekly. I knew I had lost weight and would get on the one eyed monster and it says I gained, and when I felt I had gained I really lost, So with that happening, I went to once a month. The stalls are the worst, but they are going to happen. Now I be sure to weigh at least monthly and I am hanging out in the same range. Don't let the one eyed monster (Scale) control you, go put on the TIGHTEST clothes you had before surgery, put them on once in a while. While you may not be losing #'s, you will be losing inches, and those are just as important. Drink those fluids.
  18. Congrats to all the newbies! MissJ9. Be patient, and do not weigh everyday. Hide the one eyed monster,(the scale) your body has to adjust, it will lose, gain, stall, and gain again, but the long photo out in a year is what you should be focused on. Do not get discouraged, if you follow the rules, you will do great. Scoots, lol, how I begged to have those, then I discovered MOM, Milk of Mag. WONDERFUL product, If I go 3 days without going, I either take that or Lemon Flavored Cod liver oil. it will knock whats in you out!

    One Last Drink

Is it worth the Dr. getting in there and saying NOPE cannot do this one. No, I did not cheat while on 2 week liquid diet, as I was afraid of being rejected after working so hard to get approved. Best of luck to you

    Help! Protein

I agree with magtart. Jello? Have you tried Premier Protein drinks? they are my daily even after 2 years.

    popcorn.

We all have to do what we feel is RIGHT for US, and not criticize others. For us that have met our goal, we know we are not going to eat a bagful like we used to, now it may be a handful, and we (I) am satisfied. The only thing I stay away from is bread and carbonation. I eat pizza, with the thin crust only. but will not eat a piece of bread (too thick and too hard on tummy) We learn what we can and cannot eat successfully. My eating habits are so very different now than before I started this journey. Too each their own, we all have to live with our decisions. Best of luck to you all.

    Where are the 50s ???

YOU will look amazing also. Save your TIGHTEST PANTS/SHIRT. When you are feeling like OH I am not losing, PUT those clothes on, because you will LOSE, GAIN.... STALL. I stalled for over a month.. and thought REALLY this is it... but your body will adjust if you do what the DR ordered and you FOLLOW the rules.. I wish you the best of luck, and HOLLER if I can help you. also, keep MOM, Milk of Mag on hand, it comes in very HANDY.... and relieves so much PAIN. THANK YOU MOM Ü
